The space
INSIDE:

The house is end of terrace on the waterfront.

The close proximity of the water from the different living areas gives the illusion that house is floating on water.

There is an additional side window that offers a 'double view' towards the opening of the estuary and the beach.

The scene is permanently changing with the rhythm of the tide. You will occasionally see fishing and coastal touring boats, SUPs, kayaks and local gigs at high tide, and a multitude of birds and wild life from the RSPB nature reserve opposite at low tide.

There is a spacious open plan living, kitchen and diner on the first floor, with a balcony offering uninterrupted views.

The house is beautifully furnished throughout, creating a relaxing ambience which harmonises the inside space with the waterfront views outside.

There is a dreamy living space featuring a four seater sofa, two chairs, 43 inch Smart TV and wall to wall glass sliding doors which can be opened entirely. The doors lead onto the balcony which looks down onto the water just below.

The dining space has a table, bench and chairs seating six.

There is a fully equipped kitchen with central island and three leather bar stools, induction hob, oven, fridge freezer, dishwasher, kettle, toaster, Quooker boiling water tap, Nespresso Krups coffee machine, Alexa and washer/dryer.

The house is equipped with WiFi offering high speed business broadband.

There is underfloor heating throughout. The heat source pump makes the retreat more environmentally friendly.

SLEEPING:

The master bedroom has a super king size zip and link bed on the ground floor (can be made into two singles), with wardrobe, bedside tables, dresser and stunning sea views through the glass sliding doors which lead out onto a second private balcony, the water immediately below.

A foldable desk stored in the water tank cupboard on the ground floor can be placed by the balcony doors to create a workspace. A confortable office chair is provided.

The bedroom also features an en-suite shower room with walk in shower, WC, basin and heated towel rail.

Bedroom two on the second floor has a king size bed, bedside tables, wardrobe, dressing table and en-suite shower room with walk in shower, WC, basin and heated towel rail. This beautifully designed bedroom has a mezzanine floor with a glass balcony overlooking the living area. It features a side window overlooking the estuary, allowing for fresh air to flow into the mezzanine.

Please note this bedroom does not have a door and is not suitable for children.

Bedroom three on the ground floor features two single beds, one bedside table and a hanging rail.

The family bathroom on the ground floor features a bath with shower overhead, WC, basin and heated towel rail.

OUTSIDE:

The ground floor terrace has two chairs, a side table and amazing sea views directly beyond, accessible from the ground floor bedroom.

The second balcony has two chairs and a table and immediate sea views accessed from the living room.

There is private parking for one vehicle on the drive with an EV charger (Pod Point - Type 2) and an additional parking space nearby.

Neighbourhood highlights

17 Cannery row is situated in West Cornwall, just 15 min drive from renowned locations such as St Ives and Carbis Bay.

It sits at the start of a beautiful estuary next to the town of Hayle.

Its location offers a good base to explore Cornwall, including historic sites such as St Ives, Penzance, Porthleven and Newquay, among others.

Hayle is a working town, where you will find nearby supermarkets, traditional shops, local bakeries, ice cream parlours and the famous Cornish pasties.

The house is only 200m away from one of the most beautiful and underrated beaches in Cornwall. A real hidden gem: Three-mile expanse of golden sandy beaches stretching from Hayle Towans to the iconic Godrevy lighthouse. All this is accessible via the quay promenade right in front of the house.

You will find several small local cafés along the beaches with delicious food and stunning views (Gilbert’s and The Cove Café are local must-sees).

At high tide, there are numerous water sport activities on your doorstep such as SUPs, kayaks, local gigs and coastal touring boats, all such activities directly visible from the balcony.

At low tide, a multitude of birds and wild life are visible from the RSPB nature reserve opposite the house.

The house is the end of terrace unit of 17 identical wharf houses. This iconic suite of properties formed the initial phase of a luxury regeneration project.

However, what will undoubtedly become a destination site in Cornwall is currently still under construction. Whilst the works have been temporary paused, future guests who are unfamiliar with the site should take careful consideration before booking.
