The space
Deep pile carpets in every room . New kitchen and leather recliners in living room. Apartment sleeps 4 in 5ft king, 4ft double in small back bedroom and small double floor mattress in living area for flexibility

The living room is open planned, large and with plenty of light. There's two double leather recliner sofas. There is an area with a dining table, a TV area with a large screen Smart TV with Sky and a fibre internet connection. There's an oak office desk with chair for a laptop. Also an area with a soft leather sofa and a beautiful swing chair which you won't be able to resist a swing on.

There is an open planned dining area within the living room right next to the kitchen which very comfortably seats 4 people

The kitchen is compact, but brand new and fully equipped with all the modern conveniences you would expect to find: a Siemens induction hob, Neff oven/grill, microwave, dishwasher, fridge, toaster and kettle, etc. There is a full supply of crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils. Due to size limitation, there is no freezer.

The bathroom has an Aqualisa push button power shower which gushes out hot water to your heart’s content. There is no bath tub. The bathroom has a washing machine and a tumble dryer under the worktop.

There are two bedrooms. One with a UK double bed and the other with a UK king size bed which is 5 feet wide. The back bedroom is small and has a sloping ceiling with a Velux window and is right next to the toilet. The main bedroom has more light and large windows. It is the superior room, but it is further away from the toilet.
The spare bed for flexibility is in the living room which has Velux windows so it isn't possibly to keep the light out.

Beds are supplied with duvets, pillows and towels.

An initial supply of towels is also provided. They can be washed at any time using the washing machine and tumble dryer in the apartment or just swap in the laundry next door at any time.

A hair dryer is provided along with an ironing board and iron.

The local mini-mart is only 2 minutes away. There is also a Farmfoods store 3 minutes away, whilst the biggest supermarkets (Tesco, Aldi, Lidl and the M and S Foodhall) are at the other end of town, about a 10 min walk away.

The flat is good for individual families or small groups touring or having holidays together.
There is no safety gate at the top of the stairs, so that's why we state that it's unsuitable for toddlers.
We don’t accept pets, sorry. Also, of course no smoking in any part of the apartment.
Please remember that there are two flights of stairs up to the apartment.

Location:
Coming from Glasgow, turn left at the roundabout as you enter Oban, go along the one way system until you see Coast Restaurant. 11 John Street is located in the side lane to the left of Coast (cars cannot enter street). Best park as close to Coast as possible or on the esplanade at the bottom of John Street. I'll give all "What Three Words" App locations prior to arrival. There is no private parking. Parking is free on street evenings and payable daytime. There are also nearby public car parks.

Other things to note
Parking: There are not many apartments in town with their own parking. Where there is, it’ll cost you far more in the room rate. Parking is available free on street between 6 pm and 9 am. £8 for 24 hours in Corran Halls Car Park, a 5-minute walk away. Corran Halls 1 is free October to March
Please don’t park in the architect’s private parking next to the building. The owners are now on a war footing and will block you in. I can’t help you if this happens. It’s between you and them. You’ll need to go and ask them to let you out. You’ll then leave and I’ll be left with the fallout. Please don’t do it! The Paybyphone App makes parking so easy now it’s not worth it!
SIMPLE PARKING INFO: Get the Paybyphone App. Location 807539 is the location around Coast which is nearest to the flat. Park your car and use the app. You can extend your stay every 150 minutes. Just leave a minute between stays. It’s only payable between 9 am and 6 pm. Longer term use, the North Pier Car Park which is just a few minutes away. Again, just use the App and park as long as you like at around £8 a day. If that long term is full, park at the Corran Halls 1 Car Park. It’s hardly ever full, just a couple minutes extra walk. Free in winter.

It's right in the middle of Oban. A two minute walk from the distillery. A mini mart is a two minute walk away. There's a wealth of cafes, bars, restaurants and shopping just moments away from the apartment. The excellent Coast restaurant is 10 seconds away from the front door and a vegan and vegetarian restaurant and coffee shop right below
