Birch Grove Cabin is a unique cabin retreat nestled in birch trees. The perfect spot to relax and recharge in the Scottish Highlands. Reconnect with nature on walks from the door. Unwind in comfort, enjoy spectacular views at this modern eco friendly cabin.

A Scandinavian-inspired interior, clean lines and natural wood accents, a large glazed frontage with breathtaking views of Loch Torridon and mountains beyond.

The space
You enter into the open plan living area with a vaulted ceiling featuring a large glazed frontage with amazing views towards the sea loch and Torridon mountains. There’s a log burning stove with logs and kindling included for your stay.

Also in the living area you will find a comfortable sofa and foot rest. There are local interest books, maps, binoculars, board games, jigsaws, a blue tooth Bose portable speaker.

KITCHEN/DINING
The kitchen area is fully equipped with dishwasher, induction hob, electric oven, microwave, Nespresso coffee machine, pods included, and a large fridge freezer.

You will find a welcome basket with items to make your supper, breakfast, some home baked treats and a selection of products sourced from Scotland.

BEDROOM
The separate bedroom has underfloor heating, a king bed with quality cotton bedding, non feather pillows and duvet, cotton dressing gowns and complimentary slippers. A large freestanding wardrobe with drawers, hair dryer and a full length wall mirror. Views from the bedroom to woodland and the hillside beyond.

SHOWER ROOM
Spacious shower room, under floor heating, heated towel rail. There is a walk in shower, rain head, hand held spray, The Highland Soap Company toiletries and towels for each guest.

UNDER FLOOR HEATING & LOG BURNING STOVE
Underfloor heating through out the whole cabin keeps it lovely and warm, there's also a wood burning stove for cosy evenings by the fire. All logs and kindling are supplied for your stay.

LAUNDRY/DRYING ROOM
There’s a washing machine, tumble dryer and drying facilities for wet weather gear.

OUTSIDE
Outside there's a gated private driveway with parking. A wood shed which includes space to store 2 bicycles. Here you will also find the spare logs, kindling, garden furniture. There is decking to the front of the cabin and a large grassy area, great for star gazing when the weather is right.

EV car trickle charging is available via an external 13amp socket. If you wish to use this please let us know at the time of booking. There may be a charge for use of additional electricity.

LOCATION
The cabin is set in a stunning landscape to explore, mountains, coastline, villages, lochs and relax away from it all.
The majority of the land surrounding is owned by the National Trust for Scotland. It includes small crofts, areas of mature oak, mixed woodland, rugged coast and mountain landscape in the designated National Scenic Area of Wester Ross. Near by is Scotland's first National Nature Reserve at Beinn Eighe created in 1951.
The cabin is about 6 miles off the NC500 route.

Please note there's no TV and no bath (you have a walk in shower).

Please note the wifi can be very unreliable in our rural location.

Mobile phone coverage is patchy.

We make an additional charge dependant on electric usage from the 13amp EV trickle charge external socket.

Birch Grove Cabin is situated in Wester Alligin just off the NC500 route. A small, rural, coastal settlement about six miles from Torridon with in a National Scenic Area.

From the cabin you can enjoy the coastal scenery on low level walks from the door.

Further afield enjoy hill walking, mountaineering, cycling, water sports, exploring and sight seeing.

There are several Munros to climb including Beinn Alligin, Liathach and Beinn Eighe.

There is a lovely cafe and shop in Torridon serving coffee cakes and lunches.

In Diabaig there’s the Gille Brighde cafe and restaurant serving locally sourced food.

In Sheildaig there’s the famous Nanny’s cafe serving coffee, homemade cakes and lunches.
