Take a break and unwind. Chalet 18 on the Woodlands Holiday Park is the perfect bolt hole in an area of outstanding natural beauty. The surrounding area boasts stunning walks and scenery, rivers, plunge pools, waterfalls, forgotten castles and the golden sands of Tywyn only three miles away. During the summer period there is a shared heated outside pool together with a club house where you can eat out should you not fancy eating in!

The space
Chalet 18 is very much a personal space for me and my family that is simply too good not to share. There is one main lounge with a kitchenette off it to the right. One bathroom that the previous owner decorated in his own unique style and two bedrooms to the left of the lounge.

The front room of the two bedrooms has a bunkbed suitable for children under 15 in my view but adults seem happy enough to sleep in them!

The back bedroom has a comfortable double bed.

There is no central heating (there is an oil filled heater) but I have found it perfectly comfortable between the months of March to September, after that you may need hot water bottles!

The view from the lounge window is spectacular and I've spent hours simply sitting and watching the cloud patterns move across the opposite hillside but for those who like to walk and explore the surrounding area is stunning.

I would say that it is not the most ideal place for dogs, they can stay but please get in touch first to discuss. There are generally a great number of sheep on any given walk which means a lead is nearly always in order and restrictions on the beaches during summer months.

Chalet 18 is a private let on the Woodlands Holiday Park site. You have access to the Park facilities such as the laundry, swimming pool, table tennis room and clubhouse but please get in touch with me personally for any information rather than troubling the Woodlands management.

Other things to note
The path to Chalet 18 is fairly steep. My disabled father has managed it but if you have mobility issues it is something to bear in mind

There is no dedicated Wifi at the Chalet. Wifi can be purchased online through the Woodlands site if you feel you particularly need it. I use the 4G on my mobile phone which is on the Vodaphone network, you can check the coverage of your network provider online if you have concerns.
