Stay in a gorgeous converted barn that is located in the heart of MId Wales.
The cottage is on our farm and you are surrounded by beautiful hills, a river flows through the valley and you are surrounded by a vast array of birds, you feel truely remote..
The cottage has all you need for a short break, whether this is a romantic get away or as a base to visit lots of what Wales has to offer.
Up to 2 adults and upto 2 dogs can stay.
No Smoking on site & No Children.
The space
Enter the cottage via an enclosed garden, there are 2 steps into the cottage.. The entrance hall is the perfect space to keep your coats and shoes.
The open plan dining area and lounge are on the ground floor with the small but perfectly equipped kitchen leading off the lounge area, together with the shower room.
The lounge has the original stone wall exposed and get comfy on the 3 seater sofa or armchair.
Stairs lead from the dining area upto the mezzanine bedroom, where you will find a comfy king sized bed made and ready for you.
There is also a dressing area with dressing table, chest of drawers, hooks and also a rail for hanging clothes.
The mezzanine bedroom has light flooding in through velux windows, providing lovely views during the day and the stars at night! Don't worry though, we have installed black out blinds.
To the rear of the cottage is your parking spot together with a further garden with a picnic bench for you to sit and enjoy a glass of wine or two! Festoon lights come on automatically in the evening making this a lovely spot to end your day!
Guest access
The cottage is for your sole use, occassionally I may need to enter the garden to access other parts of the farm.
We aks that you do not enter any of the fields without prior consent as we have livestock in them.
Please keep dogs on leads at all times around the farm and along the lane.
The old Mid Wales railway line runs throug the farm, we are happy for you to walk along this, but if you have a dog with you, please keep it on lead as our farm borders other farms with livestock.
The front garden and rear garden are for your use, the front garden is enclosed and has a bistro set for you to sit and have a coffee! The rear garden is more private for you and has a picnic bench and patio area for you.
A lane runs through our property and please do walk along this, there are also bridleways very close to us that you can walk along.
Other things to note
Our cottage is a 1 bedroom, 1 bed property for up to 2 adults. We do not allow children to stay, however, you can bring upto 2 pets, but we ask that they are kept on lead around the farm. We do have a small secure garden area where they can be off lead.
We are fairly remote and the nearest town, LLanidloes is a 10 minute drive, Rhayader is about 15 minutes away.
The nearest food store is Coop in Llanidloes, along with Spar, but there is a great selection of independent stores as well.
For larger supermarkets, Newtown offers, Tesco, Morrison, Aldi & Lidl. Newtown is around 30 minutes drive away.
Large dog crate available upon request.
