Unwind under the stars, wake to birdsong, enjoy a nature-rich escape.
The hut has a double bed, wood burner, sink and power. There is a shared hot shower and eco toilet (with one other unit) and a rustic field kitchen.
Set within an agroecological growing space of meadow, young trees and productive planting — a simple, grounded place to slow down and switch off.
The space
Lightfoot’s farm is a small farm growing Microgreens and nuts for local restaurants and homes and posting nationally.
Your Shepherds hut has its own hot tub for use throughout your stay; fire pit; picnic table; double bed; sink; and tea / coffee making facilities. There is an Eco toilet and gas shower shared with one other pitch and field kitchen space shared with field. Set
Enquire if you would like to pitch a tent and have additional guests for an additional charge.
Guest access
Drive into the farm yard entrance, through the field gate and past the parking sign onto a hard standing. We don't have any driving on the field, so enjoy a wander though the establishing nut trees and meadow to your hut and tub at the top right corner of the field - there should be a wheel barrow about for your luggage, please return it to the car park for other guests.
Other things to note
We're a quiet site and ask for talking volumes between 10pm and 10am. I'm afraid we can't take pets.

My background is in agroecology and international development - I’m interested in sustainability - and good food! Lightfoot’s Farm has been a focus since 2019 where we grow microgreens in a vertical farm and slowly establish a diverse and productive forest garden / camping field. I have two boys and we love to explore and enjoy the forest and coast on our doorstep.
