Unbeatable location

100% of guests in the past year gave this location a 5-star rating.
Newly renovated Pod, Elm sits within 52 acres of Dorset countryside, with our lake, stables, and The Barnhouse bar open at weekends. Part of a larger campsite with glamping, camping and static caravans — and just a 20-minute drive to the New Forest, Bournemouth's beaches, and family attractions like Peppa Pig World, Monkey World and the Jurassic Coast.

The space
With a beautiful, cosy interior, Pod Oak sleeps up to 2 adults, 1 child and 1 dog. You'll have your own kitchenette (gas hob, microwave & fridge), heating, and a partially enclosed decking area with a picnic bench and lovely views across the meadows and fields to the forest beyond.

Outdoor seating, a BBQ and access to a communal fire pit are normally part of your stay — however, under current fire restrictions, charcoal BBQs and fire pit use are temporarily paused, and no naked flames are permitted on site. You'll still have the gas hob inside, and you're very welcome to bring your own gas BBQ or similar cooking equipment (as long as it isn't a naked flame).

Fancy meeting our ponies, donkeys, sheep and goats? Time at the stables is pre-bookable — we'll send you a link to arrange this with Caroline, who runs it and will be happy to help accommodate you.

Meadow View Country Park also includes The Barnhouse bar, with drinks, kids' crafting and board games, open Friday and Saturday evenings (extended hours in summer).

Guest wifi is provided, though it can vary across the site given our rural setting — a good excuse to switch off for a few days.

We're making ongoing improvements to the park, so you may notice some light building work during the day. This stays well away from the glamping area and won't affect your views or stay.

Guest access
You have sole use of the pod. Bed linen is provided for the double bed and for a sofa bed (freshly made up and kept ready under the double bed), so bedding is covered for all 3 guests — please just bring your own towels, as these aren't provided.

The kitchenette comes with a pot and pan, simple cooking utensils, and glassware, plates, bowls and glasses. Bathrooms are shared with other glamping guests, stocked with shower gel and conditioner, and cleaned multiple times a day.

Other things to note
The Barnhouse bar is the heart of the park. During the weekends it's open Friday and Saturday from 5pm, serving snacks and drinks. Through the season we regularly host food trucks, live music and outdoor yoga — check our page or ask on booking for what's happening during your stay.

Meadowview Stables & Petting is a separate, independently run business — it isn't operated by us. Visits are pre-bookable only and must be arranged in advance directly with them; availability on the day is not guaranteed. Book at meadowviewstablespetting DOT setmore DOT com. For your safety and the animals' wellbeing, please don't approach or pet the animals without permission from stables staff.
