The space
Stow-on-the-Wold:

Gable Cottage is located a short 4 minute walk from the impressive market square - the town's main feature. At the height of the Cotswolds wool industry, the town was famous for its huge annual fairs where as many as 20,000 sheep were sold at one time at the town's famous annual sheep fairs. You can walk down a number of narrow alleyways which were used to herd sheep to the market.

Stow-on the-Wold is the highest of the Cotswold towns standing exposed on 800 feet high Stow Hill at a junction of seven major roads, including the Roman Fosse Way on which Gable Cottage is situated.

Well known for its many antique shops, country inns, pubs, restaurants and picturesque walks, Stow is also ideally positioned to explore not only the beautiful towns and villages of Cotswolds, but also for further afield historic places like Blenheim Palace, Bath and Oxford.

Farmer's Market takes place in Stow on second Thursday every month, plus last Thursday from April to September, where you can purchase local produce.

Gable Cottage:

The architectural and historic significance of Gable Cottage have been recognised by English Heritage by giving it a Grade II listing. It sits in a row of terraced cottages which has been featured on photographs and postcards over the last century.

The front door opens into a small porch where you can hang your coats and remove your muddy boots after a long walk.

Living Room:

Through the next door you will enter the living room with a wealth of character features - original flag stone floors, exposed beams, quaint windows and a stone fireplace housing a modern log burner with a large viewing screen. The room is furnished with a comfy two seater sofa, 2 armchairs, a footstool, couple of side tables and a large low coffee table. You will also find Smart TV mounted on the wall with access to Netflix, Amazon Prime and others (account holders only).

Dining Room:

From the living room you can access a beautiful dining room with a solid oak winder dining table and 4 chairs. Here you can also find a range of books and board games to enjoy with your family and friends. There are two doors - one leading to the kitchen and the other giving you access to the courtyard garden.

Kitchen:

Through from the dining room is the generous size fully equipped kitchen containing an AGA oven, a small SMEG fridge with an ice box, a dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, cafetiere, hand blender, a kettle and a toaster. A door from the kitchen leads out to the courtyard garden.
