Peace and quiet

Guests say this home is in a quiet area.
Highly rated, recently renovated. *No extra fees*. Deceptively spacious single storey dwelling tucked away in a tranquil spot, away from the high street but within walking distance, down pretty lokes (Norfolk for alleyways), to Cley Deli and Cley’s famous windmill and the North Norfolk coastal path. 2 good sized dble bedrooms & 1 room with 2 bunk beds (sleeping up to 4 children) A fabulous getaway cottage for families, 2 families together, couples or individuals. EV charger avail.

The space
The property benefits from 2 large reception rooms. A huge kitchen/ diner and a lovely sitting room. A family bathroom and ensuite shower room in one dbl bedroom. People always comment how much bigger it is in the flesh and we just love spending time there ourselves. It's spacious but cosy and recently renovated including decorated to a high standard. The 2 double bedrooms have luxury Feather and Black upholstered beds and very comfortable Loaf mattresses. The bunk bed room is a perfect haven for children and the property is very well equipped for individuals, families, bird watchers, walkers .. you name it ! It is our home so we have kitted it out with everything we need when we stay there and hope you enjoy that too. We purchased the property in 2018 and in 2022 renovated completely with a new kitchen, bedroom with en-suite ans wood flooring throughout.

The cottage has a driveway with parking for 2 cars, an electric vehicle pod point charger, and a pretty enclosed private garden and patio.

One of the double bedrooms has an en-suite shower room.

There is free fast WiFi, Freesat, a Smart TV, DVD player and access to Netflix Etc.

New furniture and bedding.

The cottage is very secluded and there are lots of walks locally to beaches. After each stay the cottage has a deep clean, paying particular attention to using antibacterial spray on door handles, light switches etc.

In the garden stargazing is spectacular - you may even spot the fruit bat that likes to do loops around the garden too!

Other things to note
The bunk beds are ideally suited to children.
If you require high chair and travel cot with extra mattress please let us know at time of booking as these are stored in a locked building when not required.

Neighbourhood highlights

Cley is one of the prettiest villages on the North Norfolk Coast. It is 3 miles from the Georgian Market town of Holt and 2 miles east of Blakeney. It lies within the Norfolk Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the North Norfolk Heritage Coast between the villages of Salthouse and Wiveton. The local Cley deli - Picnic Fayre is where you can stock up on groceries and take away homemade delicacies. We have 2 fabulous pubs in the village - The George and The Three Swallows - both excellent food and ales!
Artemis coffee shop in the village is ideal for breakfast or anytime of day and is a good place to start a walk as the famous coastal path walk along the wall starts from here. Cley beach is accessible on foot (10 mins) or by car (2 mins). A children’s park is tucked just behind the village hall, 2 mins walk from our home. A walk to the beach, local Wiveton Hall or to the award wining Norfolk Wildlife Trust Cley Marshes visitor centre is a must for birdwatchers and non birdwatchers! It has it's own cafe, touring exhibitions of local artists and information for all ages on local wildlife and what to keep an eye out for on the beach.
For birdwatchers this area boasts some of the best birdwatching in the country.
The Cley Smokehouse, sells amazing seafood, that people travel for miles to stock up on!
Cley has interesting galleries, lovely pottery, gift shops and a bookshop. Hop along to neighbouring village Blakeney and catch a boat to visit the seals at Blakeney Point. Be sure to check out the night skies as Cley is recommended as one of the best spots for star gazing . Go crabbing at the quay and discover some amazing pubs for food and drink, or cook at home in our well equipped kitchen.
