Neighbourhood highlights

Millendreath is located in a sheltered valley on the south coast of Cornwall. It is a peaceful idyll with direct access to a south facing beach which has great views of Looe Island. As well as having a bar and bistro with a terrace overlooking the sea kayaks body boards and sun loungers are available to hire here. At low tide Plaidy beach just to the west can be accessed around the rocks or on the South West Coastal Path.

The pretty town of Looe is just a 3 mile drive away by car or a 30 minute walk along the SW Coastal Path. There are plenty of bars, restaurants, as well as many food and gift shops and a local Co-op. It is also possible to hire boats from here or arrange a boat trip and there is always something to see along the quay side or the wide sandy beach. There are many places to buy local seafood and shellfish, oysters, crab and lobster or traditional fish and chips. Perhaps you could try cooking it yourself and buy locally caught fish from Pengelly's fishmongers and eat it back at the villa on the terrace enjoying the wonderful view of the sea.

Seaton is in the opposite direction a 6 mile walk along the coastal path with amazing views of the coastline and out to sea. Seaton is only 4 miles by road and has another lovely Sandy beach. Downderry is just a bit further east along the coast where you can enjoy some great pub food at the Inn on the Shore. Whether it's just a cappuccino or Sunday lunch both are served with a sea view here.
