Penrhiw Cottage is a beautiful 300-year-old wisteria-covered holiday cottage located in the secluded Welsh countryside and within easy reach of Carmarthen in West Wales.

The space
Based at the top of a valley overlooking the Carmarthen countryside our 18th Century cottage has everything to make your stay warm and comfortable.

Rooms: 1x king-sized bed, 1x queen-sized bed, and two single beds. Rooms are professionally cleaned and beds are made up with high thread count sheets. Towels and additional linens are supplied.

There is a beautiful bathroom with a bath and shower upstairs and also a shower room downstairs. The kitchen is well equipped and a basket of goodies can be purchased upon arrival for an additional fee.

The Garden is quiet, private, and full of wild birds. In the summer months, it is a wonderful place to eat alfresco and while away the evening with a glass of wine.

Access to the farm can be arranged with prior notice. We operate a Canine activity holiday and training centre at the farm and therefore have many cute dogs that can be met with prior notice. There are also amazing walks through beautiful woodland and meadows to go on around the farm and a range of animals to visit including sheep, rabbits, goats, pigs, and guinea fowl.

The house is situated within an easy drive to many of the beautiful beaches, forests, and seaside towns. We are more than happy to advise you on the best places to go.

Please contact us regarding check-in and check-out times as we are happy to accommodate earlier arrivals or later departures when possible.

Guest access
Access is granted to all areas of the house and garden. The bedrooms are accessible up one flight of stairs.

Other things to note
Penrhiw cottage is well equipped but as it is a twenty-minute drive from Carmarthen, we suggest that you bring the food and drink supplies you want for your stay. The nearest substantial supermarkets are in Carmarthen and some guests order a home delivery of supplies from Tesco which can be found at SA31 3AX. There is also a large Morrisons at SA31 2NF, an Aldi at SA31 2BG and a Lidl at SA31 1LS.

We provide tea towels for the kitchen, hand towels for the bathrooms, washing up liquid, hand wash, toilet rolls, dishwasher tablets, kitchen roll and washing powder/liquid.

The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you should need.

We try and recycle as much as we can - there are black bin bags and blue recycling bags located in the kitchen. There are drawers for different recyclable items such as all plastic, paper, tins and glass.
