Secluded off-grid bell tent in a 9-acre meadow overlooking a valley, perfectly placed for sunsets & starry skies. Wake to birdsong, sleep beneath the stars, enjoy total peace. Pipistrelle is a magical escape, just open meadow & the quietness of nature. Your off-grid tent has a proper bed, seating, and hammocks. A short walk leads to a private cottage with kitchen, bathroom, & courtyard with firepit & BBQ. Hot tub & alpaca walks separately payable.

The space
This is off-grid glamping at its simplest and most magical. Your bell tent is comfortably furnished with a proper bed, seating, and space to unwind, with hammocks for slow afternoons and nothing but meadow and sky in every direction.
A short walk (approx. 150 metres) brings you to your own private cottage space, with a fully equipped kitchen, open-plan dining/living area, and a bathroom with shower-over-bath. There’s also a courtyard garden with a firepit and BBQ—perfect for relaxed evenings outdoors.
The meadow is alive with wildlife—deer, foxes, hares, owls and more—and is shared with two gentle horses, Cassie and Lily.
You’ll park in a nearby car park and use a wheelbarrow to take your belongings across the meadow—part of the experience, and where the switch to slower living begins.
Pipistrelle is a couples-only tent—no children and no dogs—set within a peaceful working farmstead that’s also home to a small number of holiday cottages and our family house.

Guest access
You have exclusive use of Pipistrelle Bell Tent, and your own private cottage where you can make use of the bathroom, kitchen diner, lounge and courtyard garden with BBQ/fire pit. You have shared access to our 18 acre farmstead. There are 3 other holiday cottages on the farm.

We also offer alpaca walking experiences and have a hillside hot tub which you can book and pay for separately
