The space
The cabin features:
• Artisan Design: an eco retreat constructed by local craftsmen using sustainable, locally sourced hand cut timber. Each detail reflects the skill and artistry of its makers and showcases a locally sourced red oak roundwood frame, crafted to hold the south facing decking inspired by Exmoor’s status as a Dark Sky reserve.
• Completely off grid: Solar energy to power the lights, wood chopped from the estate to keep you warm and natural spring water filtered in from the valley.
• Cozy Living Area: Features handcrafted furniture, a wood-burning stove, and windows that invite natural light and showcase the breathtaking valley views.
• Hand crafted Kitchen: Fully equipped with eco-friendly appliances, reclaimed wood countertops, and all the essentials for culinary creations.
• Sleeping Quarters: A secluded king-sized bed with linen canopy drape and a mezzanine level for extra space.
• Eco Bathroom: Includes a composting toilet, a wood fired bath and a cold water shower (use of hot showers and bathroom in the main barn if preferred).
• Outdoor Living: Designed to maximise its star gazing potential with private deck with leisurely seating and a fire pit for stargazing and storytelling.

Special Features:
• Wood-Fired Hot Tub: Relax and unwind in our luxurious wood-fired hot tub, perfectly situated to offer stunning views of the valley and night sky.
• Outdoor Shower: Enjoy a refreshing outdoor shower surrounded by nature.

Additional notes:
A large basket of firewood and kindling will be supplied, but you may find it worthwhile to bring more for your stay. We ask for a small donation to our tree planting project if you wish to collect additional firewood from our lumber shed.
