You will find The Barn at The Manor, just outside the historical town of Bruton with its iconic landmark Dovecote, Hauser & Wirth art gallery with restaurant & bar, The Newt & the Michelin starred Osip.

Situated on a quiet country lane, nestled in the small hamlet of Cole, The Barn offers you the peace and tranquillity of the countryside with the ease to tour the surrounding Somerset, Dorset and Wiltshire attractions. A variety of walks are accessible straight from your front door.

The space
The historic towns and attractions of Castle Cary, Frome, Wincanton, Glastonbury, Wells, Cheddar Gorge, Sherborne and Shaftesbury are all within a 30-minute drive. Within the hour, you can also reach Stonehenge, Bath, Bristol and the stunning Jurassic Coast.

There are many local places of interest, including the National Trust properties of Stourhead, Montacute House and Dunster Castle plus a variety of stunning Somerset gardens.

The Barn sits within the 2-acre gardens of a grade II listed Manor and has been lovingly renovated and furnished to a high standard.

With its own private entrance, you enter the main living area which is furnished with a 3-seater sofa, *which can be converted into a sofa bed that accommodates 2 further guests*, armchair, coffee table, dining table and chairs. With a Smart TV, DVD player, radio, small selection of books, games, puzzles and a wood burning stove for those cooler nights.

Patio doors lead to an enclosed private garden with outdoor sofa, 2 x chairs and coffee table with electric awning for sunny days.

The country style kitchen sits in a separate space from the living area, and is fully equipped including fridge, freezer, dishwasher, combination microwave and oven, expresso machine, and toaster.

Downstairs you will also find the first double bedroom, with an outlook onto the Manor’s much-loved gardens and the first bathroom which offers a walk-in shower, wc and sink. Guests can enjoy the local Dorset organic toiletries from Wild England.

From the inner hall, the stairs will take you up to a spacious vaulted bedroom with original stonework wall, king size bed, wardrobe, dressing table and chest of drawers. From your dressing table seat, you can enjoy the adjacent countryside and surrounding woodland.
A further bathroom leads off the bedroom with a freestanding roll top bath, perfect to enjoy with Wild England bubbles and a glass of bubbly. Plus, wc and sink with a large storage cupboard.

Central heating is provided throughout property
Travel cot and highchair available on request.

Check-in is at 3pm with check-out at 10am. (A later Sunday checkout can be arranged upon by request).

Access is via a keylock box (a code will be sent to you 24 hours before arrival).
