This charming, pet-friendly cottage has 3 cosy bedrooms, full kitchen and perfect for families or couples seeking peace, yet only a short distance to shops and restaurants
Relax in quiet surroundings, spot wildlife or ships sailing by from your patio. A serene spot to truly unwind: Derry city centre - 10mins, Donegal - 5mins.

The space
The cottage has 3 bedrooms made up using luxurious Dorma bedding, soft throws and blackout blinds to ensure a restful nights sleep.
The master bedroom is suitable for 2xadults and the two additional bedrooms are suitable for 1 person in each so sleeping 4 in total. If you are a family of 5 just drop me a wee message to check I can accommodate you.

The kitchen is equipped with everything you need for family dinners and luxurious breakfasts. You can arrange to have your groceries delivered to the cottage so you can relax and enjoy your holiday straight away (Sainsbury’s and Tesco both deliver). A high chair plus tableware & cutlery for little ones mean less to pack too. There is no need to go home with laundry with the provided washing machine. You won’t have to worry about the washing up with the supplied dishwasher. The kitchen is stocked with laundry and dishwasher tablets, a good selection of seasonings and spices plus tea and coffee options.

The cosy living room looks out onto the patio and lawn beyond, you can watch the kids and dog at play with a coffee in comfort. The record player and selection of classic albums are the perfect way for you to spend an afternoon, alternatively play any music of your choice from Spotify on the Alexa speaker. There is also a selection of travel, local history and classic books & magazines you can browse at your leisure.

There is 1xbedroom downstairs which has a double bed and is suitable for 1 person. This cosy room has blackout blinds, touch lamp and is conveniently located across the hallway from the bathroom.

The family bathroom is located on the ground floor and is stocked with high quality vegan products from Faith in Nature so you don’t have to pack heavy shampoos, conditioners and shower gels. There is ample storage allowing you to fully unpack and feel at home.

Upstairs is your master bedroom which has a double bed suitable for 2xadults. This room is furnished with hanging space for clothes, bedside touch lamps and blackout curtains. An Alexa device may be used for alarms, listening to podcasts or chilling out to your favourite music on Spotify. You have stunning views over Lough Foyle from this room where you can watch beautiful sunsets and moon rises from the stunning ornate window. A travel cot can also be arranged for this room.

Also upstairs is another bedroom containing a double bed suitable for 1 person. This is such a cosy room and like others is furnished with hanging space, a touch lamp and blackout blind. You have a clear view of the historic fort from this room.

Outside there is a gravel drive allowing for 2-3 cars which can be secured. You have a patio area with seating to enjoy the magnificent views over Lough Foyle where you can spot wildlife such as herons, ducks, seals and even porpoises. The supplied Weber grill BBQ is the perfect way to enjoy this unique setting. You can practice morning yoga on the lawn and the kids can play care free.

At the end of the private shore front road you will find a recently renovated historic Fort, a former lighthouse and a slipway from which to launch a small boat.

The cottage faces east and so the front of the property benefits from spectacular sunrises. A full moon looks mesmerising over the water on a clear night. You can get close up with the wildlife and ever changing view using the supplied binolculars.

The cottage is a cosy and tranquil haven when the weather outside is not so good.

Guest access
Guest have full access to the cottage, private parking, patio and garden. It is not shared with anyone else.

The cottage sits at a unique location for its natural beauty yet it also benefits from proximity to useful amenities such as a well stocked local shop, bar and restaurant just a 10min walk or 3min drive along the riverside.
