Ducks Cottage is a superb family home, nestled on a quiet, private Holiday park, with a shared pool, just a stones throw from one of the most beautiful beaches the UK has to offer and the seaside village of Woolacombe, bustling with restaurants, gift shops, Horse riding and surf schools.
The area offers vast countryside walks, woodland, Golf, quad biking and The Tarka trail, popular with cyclists and Hikers alike. After a day exploring, the site offers a truly special place to unwind.
The space
Ducks Cottage is a beautiful country cottage situated in our stunning open gardens that was once a golf site. Set in 500 acres of beautiful open space, with uninterrupted views of the North Devon countryside and only 10 minutes drive from Woolacombe beach, it offers a real break from the chaos of life and allows to time to breath and reset! Its no wonder guests return again and again once they have found this hidden gem! Willingcott Valley offers the best of both worlds with its quiet, relaxing site whilst being right on the Coast. Weather you want to explore the country/ Coastal walks, head to the beach or check out the local seaside shops, there's something for everyone!
From the front door guests can look out onto the ponds which are home to our ducks, Moor hens and Canadian geese who regularly bring their babies over for some snacks! Just past the ponds there is a wooden climbing frame and plenty of open space, perfect for a little freedom for ball games and for the kids to play outside! There is a picnic bench at the front of the cottage so you can dine outside and make the most of summer evenings and wind down. Or maybe sunrise with a coffee, watching the wildlife and enjoying the tranquillity before planning your day.
Ducks cottage is full of character and charm with its upside down lay out which provides beautiful views from the lounge.
As you enter the cottage, there is a large entrance hall and a spacious family bath room with a bath, shower and toilet.
The ground floor also has two bedrooms. The comfy Master bedroom has a king sized bed and dressing table area and en-suite WC. With its rustic beams, it has a real country cottage feel.
The second bedroom on the ground floor is a twin room with two comfy single beds.
As you make your way upstairs to the open plan lounge and dining area guests will find comfortable furnishings and smart TV, a dining area with a dining table and well equipped kitchen which includes a dishwasher, microwave, fridge/freezer... It has everything you could need for your stay. The lounge windows look out onto the ponds and breath taking rolling countryside beyond.
The third bedroom is on this floor which has a comfy double bed and looks out onto the ponds and rolling north Devon country side beyond. It is truly breath taking to wake up to!
Free Parking for the cottage is directly behind it and there are no restrictions.
The outside heated pool is open from 23rd May - 29th September
Please note that this is free to use but must be booked and does not have a lifeguard. Information for booking will be sent out prior to your stay.
Did someone say free food???
The Willingcott food truck opens May 23rd- We definitely recommend checking out the face book page! With tasty food that you wont find anywhere else, why not take the night off from cooking and either have it delivered straight to your door or head to the food truck on site and grab a picnic bench or a blanket whilst the kids play with the outside games on offer. With a five star rating on google reviews, its definitely worth trying, you wont be disappointed.
Kids eat free with each paying adult ( selected kids menu)- Let us know when you book your stay how many children are in your party and we will arrange the rest! There will be a food pass for your children in the cottage and this can be used every time paying adults order, throughout your stay!
We have another play area on site with swings and a slide, more suitable for the younger ones.
If your looking for a quiet family site away from the busy holiday parks then Willingcott Valley will not disappoint.
Guest access
Guests have full access to the whole site, Shared heated outside pool (23rd May to 29th September).
Other things to note
The outdoor heated pool opening times are 23rd may till the 29th September.
The pool is shared and there is a booking system.
The pool opens from 10am till 8pm closing.
As you drive down the driveway coming on to the site, the bin area can be found on your left opposite the main carpark.
To get to Ducks cottage, come down the main driveway and turn right into the carpark. As you enter the carpark, parking for Ducks cottage can be found on the left and there is a pathway down to the cottage.
Dogs are not permitted in this cottage.
