Amazing walks on your doorstep.

A beautifully restored historic longhouse overlooking the Welsh coast. With breathtaking sea views, original 17th-century features, and all the comforts of a luxury retreat, Ty Isaf offers a truly special escape for families, walkers, and four-legged friends.

The space
Ty Isaf is a traditional stone longhouse with exposed cruck-frame beams, thick whitewashed walls, and a beam dated 1663 (we believe the farmhouse itself is much older). Tucked in peaceful Tal-y-bont, walking distance to the beach and trails and an ideal base for exploring Eryri (Snowdonia) and the Mawddach trail.

Perfectly suited for groups of family and friends to get together and is layed out in a manner ideal for socialising with its corner sofas, large dining table and a kitchen where you can prepare a meal together, or sit around the island and just chat.

Thoughtfully renovated, it now offers:

3 comfortable bedrooms (sleeps 7)

Stylish modern extension and kitchen with everything you need to cook anything from a full roast dinner to a bowl of blended steaming soup.

Large dining room and table to seat all your family or friends.

Lounge with corner sofa wrapping around the large inglenook and wood burner.

Traditional slate flagstone floors downstairs and oak floors on the first floor

Full central heating

2 bathrooms with showers (one family, one en-suite) and downstairs WC.

Sun lounge/living room and covered balcony looking out over fields of sheep to the sea.

Private and secure garden with large patio.

Dog-friendly living, with room to relax and roam

Please Note

This is an old farmhouse, so some ceilings and beams are low and stones are exposed. That’s part of the character—but tall guests may need to duck!

Master Bedroom (with Ensuite)

The Master Bedroom has a super-comfy king-sized bed, crisp white sheets, and plenty of pillows. The room is full of character, with whitewashed stone walls, oak floors, and a vintage-style wooden doors.

There’s a cosy armchair by the window, perfect for reading or relaxing, and both Venetian and blackout Roman blinds to help you get a good night’s sleep. The ensuite bathroom is just next door, so everything you need is close at hand.

Soft lighting, thick walls, and peaceful surroundings make this a lovely, calm place to unwind after a day out exploring.

Bedroom 1

This calm and airy bedroom has a king-sized bed and a lovely sea view from the window. The exposed beams, whitewashed stone wall, and wooden floors give it lots of character, while soft lighting and thick bedding make it feel warm and restful.

There’s a large antique wardrobe, a comfy armchair, and blackout blinds for a peaceful night’s sleep. It’s a quiet, comfortable space to wake up slowly.

Bedroom 2 (Family Room)

This spacious bedroom works well for families or friends travelling together. It has a king-size bed and a separate single bed tucked under the eaves—ideal for a child or an extra guest.

The room is full of character, with old oak beams, a feature stone wall behind the bed, and a vintage wardrobe with decorative paneling. There's plenty of floor space, a comfy reading chair, and a good mix of natural and warm lamplight.

The window looks out over the Grade II listed Pont Tal-y-bont with glimpses of the Ysgethin Afon. And the blackout curtains help keep mornings slow and restful.

Unwind, reconnect, and explore.
