Exceptional check-in experience

Recent guests gave the check-in process a 5-star rating.
The Bothy, part of our 17th century Welsh farmhouse, offers a perfect base to explore Monmouthshire & the Brecon Beacons. Recently renovated, it has a spacious bedroom with a king size bed & bathroom with shower. Downstairs there’s a large living room w/sofabed and full kitchen. We provide freshly baked bread on arrival & home made marmalade & jam, butter, milk, tea & coffee. The Hall Inn iswithin easy walking distance and there's a log fire for nights in - ideal for a weekend in the country

The space
Our lovely cottage, set in a (non working) farm courtyard provides a place to relax and a base to explore beautiful Wales. The cottage was completely gutted & upgraded in 2022.

There's a large, sunny bedroom with a king size bed upstairs and a new shower room. We provide quality cotton bed linen and sumptuous large fluffy bath towels.

Downstairs there is a spacious sitting room with a log fire and a full kitchen. There's a new sofa-bed (mattress 52"x70"), TV/DVD and we have fast broadband. We provide lots of dvds for you - check out those old favs!

We can provide a cot and all baby paraphernalia if needed (high chair, toys etc)

A large basket of logs is included, any additional are £10 per basket.
Iron and ironing board provided.

A well-behaved dog is accepted but we would ask if it can be encouraged not to go upstairs and should be kept off the furniture . We have dog bowls and old towels if you need them - just let me know what you might need.

We can keep our chickens locked away in their pen if you are concerned as to how your dog will engage with them !

Guest access
Guest have their own access through a porch to the cottage. Parking is in the yard next to the cottage.

We welcome guests to explore our land and woods and also to sit in and enjoy our garden with the fabulous views when the weather is good. We love to give our guests a weekend that leaves them rested and rejuvenated.

Other things to note
The very popular Hall Inn pub with good traditional food is within walking distance and a number of good pubs and restaurants are within easy reach in Usk and Raglan, both only 2 miles drive away.

We love having the opportunity to share our wonderful home with guests and making them feel welcome and at ease. It gives us pleasure when they are rested, happy and appreciative. We are keen gardeners and have recently planted an organic vineyard which we are very excited about! An exhausting family effort ! We can recommend some fabulous walks in the nearby Brecon Beacons and surrounding areas including our own fields surrounding the farm !
