Step inside one of Staffordshire’s most unique historic stays. Bottle Lodge is a beautifully restored Grade II listed octagonal lodge believed to date from 1807, thoughtfully renovated over almost six years using traditional materials and bespoke craftsmanship throughout.
Designed for two guests, the lodge combines historic character with modern comforts, private outdoor space, canal walks nearby and a striking vaulted bedroom beneath the original domed roof.
The space
The Bottle Lodge is a beautifully restored historic octagonal lodge believed to date back to 1806. This unique two-storey stay has been renovated to an exceptionally high standard using bespoke oak joinery, handcrafted finishes and luxury furnishings throughout. Downstairs features a compact kitchen, dining area and smart TV, while upstairs offers a cosy double bedroom with an enclosed shower. Please note the property is intentionally compact, with narrow stairs, low ceilings and tight spaces throughout.
Guest access
Guests have exclusive access to the entire Bottle Lodge, including the private patio area, parking space and enclosed garden/field area surrounding the property. A public footpath runs through part of the land. The lodge is completely self-contained with private entrance, kitchen, dining area, bedroom and bathroom facilities across two floors.
Other things to note
Please note The Bottle Lodge is a genuinely compact historic building with narrow stairs, low ceilings, tight doorways and limited space throughout. While beautifully restored, it may not be suitable for guests with mobility difficulties or those who prefer larger modern accommodation.
The lodge is positioned beside a country road which can be busy at times, although secondary glazing has been installed throughout to help reduce noise inside the property. Guests should also take care when entering or exiting the parking areas due to reduced visibility onto the road.
