Sleeping 10 across 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, it's built for large families and multi-generational gatherings. The space
Bramble Bank House is a light-filled, much-loved family home on East Cowes Esplanade, practically on the water, with uninterrupted views straight into Cowes Harbour and across the Solent. This is the owner's own retreat, opened to guests for a limited window each year, and that care shows throughout.
Sleeping 10 across four bedrooms and four bathrooms, it's designed for large families and multi-generational groups who want genuine space, privacy and a front-row seat to life on the water. The ground floor centres on a fully equipped open-plan kitchen and dining space, built for big family meals with seating for everyone. Also on this level is a twin bedroom with en-suite shower room, ideal for grandparents or anyone who prefers ground-floor access.
On the first floor, a generous living room opens onto a harbour-facing balcony; the best seat on the island for watching boats come and go or catching the sunset over the Solent. This floor also has a second twin bedroom with en-suite, a bunk room with two sets of bunk beds sleeping four, and a family bathroom with roll-top bath and separate shower. The top floor offers a peaceful double bedroom with its own en-suite, a quiet retreat away from the hub of the house.
Outside, front and rear gardens with patios give children room to play and families space to eat outside, with sea views from both. There is off-street parking, free nearby street parking, and secure covered storage for bikes, sailing gear and watersports kit. The Red Funnel ferry and Waitrose are a 5-minute walk away. The Esplanade's paddling pool, play park and tennis courts are on the doorstep, and Osborne House is just up the road. Guests also benefit from up to 35% off Wightlink ferry crossings and up to 25% off Red Funnel.
Built by Captain Guybon Damant RN, a pioneer of modern diving and naval salvage, Bramble Bank House carries a rich maritime history that feels entirely at home in its harbour-side setting.
