Minster Lovell Hall: One of the standout historical features of the village is Minster Lovell Hall, which was once a grand mansion. It was the seat of the Lovell family, particularly during the 15th century. The manor house was built around the 1430s by Lord Lovell, a prominent figure in English history. However, it fell into disrepair in the 18th century, and today, it’s a picturesque ruin that attracts many visitors due to its mysterious, romantic atmosphere.
Richard III Connection: The Lovell family had strong ties to the Yorkist cause during the Wars of the Roses. Lord Lovell himself was a supporter of Richard III.
