A wonderful opportunity to stay in a 5* visitor rated, cosy family home in a prime residential area close to Calpe and its many attractions. Ideal for families, walkers, cyclists and seekers of a restful stay. Colina del Lado is a detached villa with private, west facing swimming pool and lovely, open views. Just 10 minutes from several beautiful beaches and a working fishing port. With limited availability for tourist stays, don't delay booking this special home for your next family holiday.
The space
Located in a peaceful and well established residential area of Calpe in an easy drive of its blue flag beaches, harbour, and huge variety of restaurants, bars, and shops. This traditionally styled Spanish villa has comfortably furnished rooms and is equipped as a family holiday home with plenty of crockery, cutlery, glasses, pots and pans .
Fast fibre broadband. Smart TV with UK channels via a satellite service ( stream your own Netflix, Prime etc services), air conditioning in both bedrooms as well as in the main living area.
There is lots of outside space, and the house and gardens have many private spots to relax in. Paved terraces surround our kidney shaped pool, which is south facing and in the perfect position to enjoy day long sunshine whilst marvelling at the views. There is plenty of outside furniture to enjoy the outdoor space. Sunbeds and sofas by the pool and a dining table and chairs next to the BBQ area for outside dining.
Hot and cold air-conditioning ensures the villa is comfortable to live in whatever the season, and efficient eco electric heaters and a wood burner add that final touch for cosy winter evenings.
The house is most enjoyed by those seeking a comfortable base from which to explore this wonderful area and is particularly suited to families with older children or couples looking for a peaceful retreat. Cyclists and walkers will love the many opportunities locally to enjoy their hobby/sport.
Minimum stay 7 days. Maximum stay 30 days. Arrival/departure date is flexible - please enquire directly with the owner.
Licensed as a short stay tourist property with the Valencia Tourist Board and legally registered as a vacation home with the Spanish national Government. Advance booking is essential for all stays.
This is not a party house ( or area), so we do not accept single sex groups or anyone under the age of 25 unless travelling as part of a family group.
A small dog may be accepted for longer stays outside of the main tourist season, subject to a small extra fee - please ask us for more details.

Guest access
This listing is for the entire property*, and guests have exclusive use of the house, pool, and gardens. Guest accommodation is on the upper level of the house, accessed at street level with beautiful views across the pool and garden to the mountains.
Arrival is usually Saturday for a minimum of 7 nights and a maximum of 30 nights. We may be able to vary this for stays outside of the main tourist season - please ask us.
* NB. The owner keeps a private apartment at the property (on lower level and with a separate entrance), which is locked and not in use during guest stays.
All Guests must provide full ID details in accordance with Spanish law. Failure to comply with this will mean that your reservation is cancelled and no refund will be due.
*NB. Only those registered guests, named on the booking, are permitted to use the property and this includes the grounds, the swimming pool as well as other facilities. Due to the stipulation of our tourist licence, as well as our property insurance, there is no variation to this term so we are unable to agree to further guests, even if they are only visiting our property for a few hours.

This property is ideal for families and couples looking for a comfortable, peaceful home from which to explore this wonderful area. It is located in a well established residential area, just a short drive from Calpe beaches, shops, and a range of restaurants including 2 Michelin starred restaurants for lovers of fine dining.
A car is highly recommended to make the most of this very popular area.
Previous guests have enjoyed trips to the local, blue flag beaches for swimming and watersports, walking and cycling holidays and cultural visits to cities like Valencia, Alicante and Xativa. We host people who visit Calpe for health reasons, or to look for their own 'place in the sun', for short term work placements or when they are in between properties.

*We do not accept single sex groups or bookings from those under the age of 25.
*Due to a number of steps and some uneven surfaces, we do not recommend this home for very young children or anyone with mobility issues.
*This is self catering accomodation and no hospitality services are provided during the Guest stay. All bedding and bathroom towels are provided but please do bring your own towels for the pool and beach!
*The property is strictly for the exclusive use of those named in the booking contract. All guests must provide mandatory identification information in accordance with Spanish law. The Spanish government collects tourist ID information for national security, crime prevention, and local administration. This villa is located in a very well established, highly desirable residential area on the outskirts of Calpe town. The properties are set in large plots - ours is about 1400sq metres- and most have very well established gardens with mature trees, providing much greenery, privacy, and shade. The house and immediate area enjoys views to the mountain ranges of Pinos and the Sierra Bernia.

This photo is one of my favourites.Taken at our home in Calpe. My wife, Sue, and I are in our 50's, live in the UK and have holidayed in this area of Spain for many years. We've owned property in Calpe for over 20 years and love it! We say Calpe has something for everyone; beaches, watersports, hiking, cycling, great restaurants and a wonderful year round climate. Our house is perfect for small families, or couples to enjoy all Calpe offers!
