The Garden Room at Castleton Barn is our little rustic retreat for a couple. Overlooking and opening onto our garden, nestled between our old barn buildings, the Garden Room is a self-contained studio with well-equiped kitchen, comfortable kingsize bed, shower room with WC, rocking chairs and dining table. All the facilities needed for a comfortable stay in beautiful Herefordshire, only 3 miles from Hay-on-Wye, and just off the Wye Valley Walk long distance path.
The space
With a well-equiped kitchen, comfortable kingsize bed, shower room with WC, rocking chairs and dining table, our Garden Room has all the facilities needed for a comfortable stay in beautiful Herefordshire, only 3 miles from Hay-on-Wye, and just off the Wye Valley Walk long distance path.
Guest access
In true Airbnb style, this space is an attached but separate part of our home, with the French doors in the Garden Room opening out onto our lawn. Guests are welcome to use our lawn to relax and we will do our utmost to respect your privacy during your stay.
Other things to note
We aim to be as environmentally friendly as possible. The Garden Room has underfloor heating run on an air-source heat pump. There is an additional standalone Everhot heater to top up as needed.
We have a charging point for an electric car, which we welcome visiting guests to use at a rate of £3/hour for charging.
We have a bouncy but very friendly spaniel, Taff, who will be most excited to meet anybody who stays; he is not fenced in but is well trained.
Whilst we have a general no pets policy, we do make exceptions; please do get in touch if you'd like stay and want to bring a pet.
