Needles' View at Chale Bay Farm is an air-conditioned family-friendly self-catering apartment with stunning views towards the Needles.
The living area features a contemporary open-plan, fully-equipped kitchen with oven, hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and combined washer/dryer and adjacent dining and lounge/sun-room.
Sleeps up to 4 (or 5 with sofa-bed or cot) but you can add more space by booking our stand-alone room Tennyson View or one or more of our other adjacent apartments.
The space
Arriving, you have ample choice of free parking in our landscaped gravel car park before entering your apartment via its private front door from our courtyard with peaceful illuminated water garden and pond.
The living area features a contemporary open-plan, fully-equipped kitchen with oven, hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and combined washing machine/tumble dryer and adjacent dining space (with small sofa/sofa-bed) as well as the large air-conditioned sun-room/lounge with two large sofas, armchair, coffee table and side tables and other furniture.
The sun-room/lounge area features comfortable recliner sofas and a 65" HD satellite/internet connected TV which has hundreds of Freesat channels and using the Smart TV features you can also use catchup-services such as BBC iPlayer and use streaming services including YouTube, Netflix, Prime, Disney+, Paramount+ and Apple TV (your own account(s) required). A Blu-ray player is also provided and DVD and Blu-ray discs are available in a library housed in the Gym. There is even a handy remote HDMI and USB socket to make it easy to connect your own devices to the TV.
This apartment is ideal for parents with two or three children with a large air-conditioned family suite of two bedrooms spread over two floors providing the sleeping accommodation:
The main bedroom features a super king size double bed with Egyptian cotton bedding, armchair, side table and plenty of wardrobe and drawer space with ensuite bathroom that includes a full size bath with powerful shower, heated towel rail and hair dryer. There is also a handheld hairdryer in a dressing table drawer. To wake you up in time to make the most of your day there is a DAB/FM radio/alarm clock with iPod/iPhone dock/MP3 connection. The bedroom also features a 40" HD Satellite TV and a smart Blu-ray player with streaming facilities. The bedroom also has its own small patio with chairs.
The second bedroom is on a mezzanine floor accessed via stairs (no door between) from the master bedroom within the suite has two full size single beds and a lounge area with small sofa/sofa-bed and coffee table and second TV with streaming facilities and blu-ray player. High chairs, stair gates and travel cots are available for no additional charge (providing they are requested at the time of booking). Please note we do not supply bedding for travel cots.
The sofa-bed on this mezzanine floor may be opened up if there is a fifth guest (we normally suggest the sofa-bed is used for children only) - please note this reduces the available floor space. A supplement applies.
Back to the living space and oustide via huge bi-fold opening doors you have your own personal south-westerly facing patio with large picnic table and steps up to the lawns and lovely views directly over the fields and out to sea and also north westerly over the sea towards the Needles. Walking around the property you have access to the shared lawns and from spring through autumn the paddock including box of lawn games including croquet, cricket and frisbee, as well as balls of all shapes and sizes.
There is free Internet connectivity provided via high performance WiFi access available throughout the entire property.
For additional security there is also a safe which is large enough to accommodate most laptops.
Guest access
This apartment is one of four and you have full access to ample parking, EV charging, personal patio with stunning views, the shared courtyard/water-garden with pond and seating, gym, sauna and lawns and from spring through autumn the paddock including box of lawn games including croquet, cricket and frisbee, as well as balls of all shapes and sizes.
Other things to note
When you book with us we can usually provide discount links that typically give 25% discount on your ferry crossing with a vehicle and up to 6 people to the the Isle of Wight.
Please note that this is a family-focused accommodation and the sleeping arrangements are a duplex family bedroom suite over two floors with stairs within the master bedroom to the second bedroom on a mezzanine floor upstairs (no door between). This makes for a great environment for families with children, or groups of younger people who are close friends; however it may perhaps be too intimate for sharing by two couples, or grown up children and older parents.
If you need fully separate rooms we have St Catherine's View which has two fully separate bedrooms and bathrooms, or Tennyson View which is a great standalone room with ensuite bathroom - ideal for use for friends or extended family when staying in one of our other apartments.
Some Amenities, notably for toddlers/babies, such as stair gates and travel cot if required should be requested ahead of the stay as they are not stored in the apartment.
This apartment can accommodate a fifth guest on a sofabed in the upstairs mezzanine bedroom, making the fifth place ideally suited to a third child in a family of five rather than an adult. Bedroom floorspace on the mezzanine floor is limited when the sofabed is in use.
This property is entirely non-smoking (including outside areas).
