Col de Joux Plane is a stunning 5 bedroom (+1 sofa bedroom), 9 bed, 5 bathroom chalet sleeping up to 12 people. Iconic Tour de France climbs right from the doorstep (Joux Plane, Ramaz, Colombière) and beautiful valley tours make this a mecca for cycling enthusiasts.
In pretty village centre, with secure bike storage, hot tub and great restaurants/bars within 3 minutes walk - swimming in Lac Bleu's crystal clear water only 10 mins walk away. Perfect location for family or friends cycling holiday.
The space
On the ground floor there is a spacious, wood-lined boot room with underfloor heating and plenty of storage space for outdoor clothing and footwear. There is also a handy laundry room equipped with washing machine, tumble-dryer and drying space. On this level there are 2 King bedrooms and one twin room, plus 2 bathrooms (one en-suite). One of the King bedrooms can be converted into twin beds upon request.
The first floor is accessed via a short flight of stairs and has a beautiful open-plan living area with large comfy sofas and armchairs surrounding a warming log fire. There is also 2nd living room with a sofa, additional seating, a large TV (UK and French channels) offering a very useful den for teenagers or adults to call their own – there is also a desk available for guests wishing to work from home, the view is quite inspirational! The sofa in this room can be converted into a comfy double bed and there is a handy washroom right beside it.
The kitchen is equipped with granite work surfaces and quality appliances including full size oven, microwave, induction hob, full height fridge-freezer and a Philips L'OR coffee machine. In the dining area, an impressive wood dining table seats 10-12 people, and a fondue and raclette machine are provided for those wishing to sample some authentic Savoyard cuisine. There is access to a south facing balcony with beautiful views of the surrounding mountains, including the jaw-dropping Criou. The garden and hot tub can also be accessed from this level.
On the top floor there are 2 luxurious ensuite King bedrooms.
