Perfect for 2 families, extended families or groups of friends, our lodge has 4 bedrooms (2 king size, a small double & a twin). There's room for 2 travel cots (one is provided). There are 2 bathrooms, Wifi & gas central heating.

On a park close to Bodmin Moor, there’s a superb indoor pool, tennis courts, fishing lakes & a 9 hole golf course. 8 miles to the North Cornwall coast. Ideal for holiday makers, birders, fishing enthusiasts & wildlife watchers!

The space
There is step free access to the open plan living space. The dining table seats 8 and the super-comfortable living room has a smart TV and a DVD player with DVDs provided. The kitchen is fully equipped including dishwasher, washing machine, fridge freezer, microwave and electric double oven with induction hob, making it an ideal base for multi-generational family getaways or for two families sharing. There are plenty of pans, plates, bowls, cutlery, roasting trays, cake tins etc for cooking up a storm!

Upstairs there are two large king size bedrooms - both with room for travel cots (one travel cot is provided). Both these bedrooms have desks with TVs with built in DVD players, they have built in wardrobes, chests of drawers and bedside tables with lamps.
These bedrooms share the upstairs bathroom with its luxurious corner bath. The bedroom at the front of the house has double doors onto the balcony.

There are two further bedrooms downstairs - a twin room with two single beds, wardrobe, chest of drawers, bedside table and lamp. And a double with 4 foot double bed, bedside tables, dressing table, hanging rail and book shelves. The downstairs shower room serves these two bedrooms.

Hairdryers are provided in three of the four bedrooms.

The lodge is a very short stroll (one minute) to the fabulous 25 metre swimming pool with spacious, bubbling jacuzzi spa pool and toddler pool. The pool is very popular during school holidays, but out of season you may well have the whole pool to yourself!

If there are more than 8 people (plus two babies) in your party, please look for alternative accommodation.

Guests will have full exclusive access.
There is step free access to all downstairs rooms and parking for one vehicle right next to the lodge. A free car park is 50 metres away for extra vehicles.

Other things to note
Walking distance to a very fine local pub. There is an on site restaurant and bar with entertainment. (Closed in winter). For those who prefer to keep themselves to themselves there are books, games, jigsaws and DVDs provided in the house for quiet evenings in.

A hand towel is provided in each bathroom and tea towels in the kitchen, but bath and beach towels are not provided - please bring your own.

Swimming pool open daily from 10am to 5pm. Sessions are free and start on the hour and should be booked at reception in advance, particularly during school holidays.

Reception is open from 9am to 5pm.

The maximum occupancy is eight plus two babies. One travel cot is provided but please bring your own cot bedding. Both upstairs bedrooms have enough room for a travel cot. So if your party includes two babies, please bring one travel cot!
If there are more than 8 (plus 2 babies) in your group, please look for alternative accommodation.
Due to park rules, strictly no contractors.

There are Venetian blinds in the living area. The cords on the blinds have been cut short to keep them out of reach of children. Should you wish to raise the blinds please ensure that you wrap the cords around the double ended hooks (cleats) in their entirety so small children cannot reach them - they can be hazardous to young children.

There is a PodPoint Type 2 EV charger 30 metres from the lodge.

The rugged coastline of North Cornwall - an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty - is just 8 miles away. Highlights include:
King Arthur’s castle at Tintagel (English Heritage).
Picture perfect fishing village, Port Isaac - home of TV’s Doc Martin.
Stunning beaches including Polzeath, Rock and Trebarwith Strand.
St Nectan’s Glen with its enchanting waterfall and woodland.

For cyclists of all levels, the Camel Trail is only a mile and a half away. The trail follows the river Camel from Bodmin all the way to Padstow. The estuary is particularly good for birdwatchers especially in autumn, winter and spring. Bikes can be hired at Bodmin or Wadebridge. If you’re coming outside of the peak season do check the bike hire places are open. Bridge Bike Hire in Wadebridge is open all year and the others are open most of the year.

Bodmin Moor - another Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty - can be reached within a few minutes. Populated during the Bronze Age, there are ancient stones and cairns to discover and an abundance of wildlife, including plenty of local Cornish birds and moorland ponies. For those wanting an unusual outdoor activity there’s a place to go trekking with alpacas.

Pencarrow House is just 5 miles away - a guided tour is recommended. Lanhydrock House (National Trust), Padstow, the Eden Project and Restormel Castle (English Heritage) can all be reached within about half an hour.

Hengar Manor has a beautiful indoor pool with spa pool and toddler pool. Swimming sessions are free and best booked in advance (particularly in peak season). There are several fishing lakes and a nine hole pitch and put golf course. There is a small shop, a restaurant and bar on site if required. The pretty Cornish village of St Tudy is just over a mile away - a pleasant walk through the grounds will lead you there. It has a Grade I listed church, a community shop/cafe and a lovely pub, the St Tudy Inn with an exceptional restaurant.
