Perfect for families and people who love the outdoors. Rhianfa House is ideally located to explore the local gems of Wales, including waterfalls, mountains and the coast. A great area for outdoor activities like hiking, road cycling, mountain biking and swimming with wide beaches, forests and lakes nearby.

Rhianfa House is a short distance from pretty towns with amazing restaurants, artisan shops, steam trains and a cinema! We are happy to share more information on your booking!

The space
A C19th renovated coastal house in Snowdonia. Rhianfa, the former Old School Teacher's House, is rurally located and ideal to experience the natural beauty of both the sea and mountain landscapes.

Rhianfa House is a 3 bedroom (1 double bed & 2 king beds) home with 1 upstairs bathroom (shower only) & 1 downstairs toilet.
It has a cosy living room, kitchen with dining table that leads into a snug with stunning sea views and bi-folding doors to the enclosed garden.
The garden has outside seating where you can enjoy the sea view, a magical sunset or on clear night, an amazing starry sky.

The house has the Wales Coastal Path a few minutes walk from the doorstep and also sits on the Snowdonia 360 route, a 360 mile tour that goes through some of the most stunning locations in North Wales. There are many other outdoor activities that you can do around the area, with the popular seaside village of Aberdyfi providing water sports; The Dyfi Bike Park and Coed y Brenin providing mountain bike trails and the Talyllyn steam train providing a more gentle way of getting around! There is also a wealth of walks to explore that take you through castles, over mountains, (Cadair Idris is a 12 mile hike away) along beaches, up waterfalls and around lakes; hopefully something for everybody!

Guest access
Guests have full access to the house, apart from a few cupboards and attic space.

Other things to note
The kitchen has an electric Aga which is brilliant for providing a warm space to retreat to as well as cook wholesome meals. We have also provided an air fryer and microwave if you want a faster way of making a meal!
If eating out is more your thing there are many pubs providing home cooked food, restaurants serving al la carte and the traditional beach front fish and chips!
We provide guests with a list of some of our favourite local places to visit.
Rhianfa House is a great spot to explore along the coastline to nearby towns including Tywyn, Aberdovey, Dolgellau, Barmouth and Harlech. Or drive more into Snowdonia National Park with many mountainous wonders, places like Lake Vyrnwy, Bala and Betws y Coed are within an hours drive away.
