Trade city noise for the crackle of a wood burner and the rustle of ancient oaks. Tucked deep in the Brecon Beacons, our high-end 1-bedroom cabin offers a true off-grid detox—without the "roughing it" part. Reconnect with nature in a space that’s private, cosy, and intentionally quiet. Disconnect from the digital and recalibrate in total comfort. Your magical woodland escape awaits; a secluded retreat with zero compromise on luxury.

The space
The Space
Experience a high-spec sanctuary hidden within our 55-acre private estate. This is off-grid living, refined. The cabin features a cosy bedroom, a sleek bathroom with a full shower, and a kitchen with a 2-ring gas hob. To ensure you stay warm regardless of the weather, you can utilise the wood-burning stove or the provided portable gas heater.
While you have vast space to yourself, please note the estate is shared with local wildlife, our resident sheep, and occasionally guests in the main house.
The Off-Grid Experience (Power & Tech)
The cabin is powered by a bespoke solar system designed for lighting and USB phone charging only. To protect the system, laptops, hair straighteners, and high-draw appliances cannot be used. This is your invitation to truly unplug and enjoy a digital detox.
Food & Cooling
There is no fridge in the cabin. We provide a high-quality cool box and some milk sachets to get you started; please bring your own ice for the box and any perishables. A BBQ with tools is provided for alfresco cooking in the fresh mountain air.
Water & Provisions
We utilise harvested rainwater for washing and showering. For drinking, we provide an initial 10 litres of fresh water. If you are staying for several days or are heavy water drinkers, we recommend bringing a little extra with you.
Guest access
Our cabin offers a wonderful, secluded escape, which means it cannot be reached directly by car. Here is what to expect when you arrive:
The Walk: A scenic 400m (5–10 minute) walk from the parking area, crossing a few fields and ending with a notably steep slope.
Footwear: The grass can be long, so wellies or sturdy boots are a must, especially in wet weather!
Fitness Level: Due to the terrain and the final climb, a basic level of fitness is required. If you have mobility concerns or dislike uphill walks, we gently recommend finding a more accessible stay.
Luggage Help: Don't want to carry heavy bags up the hill? We can help arrange for our caretaker to drive your luggage up on his quad bike. He can only take bags (no passengers, unfortunately!), but it makes the walk much easier. We will send you his contact details after booking so you can discuss availability and costs.
Other things to note
Drinking Water: Tap water is non-potable. We provide an initial 10L supply.
Packing Tip: To make the 300m uphill walk easy, we strongly recommend travelling light and using backpacks rather than suitcases. Sturdy, waterproof footwear (or wellies!) is a must.
The Estate: You have 55 acres of woodland and fields to explore, shared only with local wildlife and our sheep. Please note that while the cabin is secluded, there may be other guests staying in the main house on the estate.
Heating: Along with the wood burner, a portable gas-bottle heater is provided for your comfort during exceptionally cold spells.
Technology: There is no TV or Wi-Fi. Power is strictly for lighting and charging mobiles via USB.
