Forget Me Not Shepherd's hut is nestled between the North Cornish countryside and coast. Escape to a cosy and secluded space in the heart of a beautiful hamlet. Minimal light pollution creates a magical view of the stars. We are dog friendly and located only a 10 minute drive from the nearest sandy beach. With a dream to share this wonderful place we call home, we have poured our hearts into curating a homely and welcoming stay. It is a place we hope you can forge truly unforgettable memories.
The space
Tucked away at the far end of our long garden, the hut sits within its own private space, thoughtfully curated to offer a pocket of peace. It’s the only hut on the land, allowing you to enjoy the simple charm and little joys of glamping, without having to share the space. While our cottage is just a short walk away, it doesn’t overlook the hut, ensuring your stay feels truly peaceful and undisturbed. There is outdoor seating, a hammock, a fire pit and a gas BBQ grill for you to enjoy alfresco living. The hut itself houses a double bed, dining table and kitchenette. There is also a private compostable toilet and shower shed just behind the hut. The only sink is in the hut itself, and the compostable toilet does have hand sanitising spray for guests to use.
PLEASE NOTE- Smoking is NOT permitted on site (additional fees may be incurred should this rule be broken).
In the sleeping area you will find a cosy double bed, a small wall mounted TV (with access to smart apps only e.g. Netflix, Amazon Prime, ITV player etc.), a bedside table with; a lamp, a small mirror and some books, underbed storage space/baskets housing a selection of games, a hairdryer, hot water bottles, a fire blanket and offering plenty of room for all your personal belongings.

Linen curtains hang on every window to offer privacy without detracting from the beautiful natural light. The hut is insulated and hot water bottles are provided (an additional duvet is available on request during your stay).
There are standard UK plug sockets with USB points, and an extension lead with UK sockets and USB/USB-C points is provided.
Being in the countryside offers our guests a place to fully immerse themselves in nature. It does also mean that at times our WiFi is not completely reliable, and we ask that you bear this in mind when booking. We do have a selection of games and books which may come in handy should you be disconnected. The 4G signal is typically quite strong and far more reliable.
In the kitchen area you will find a toaster, kettle, 5 litre air-fryer, mini fridge and sink with a cold water tap. The kitchen cupboards/drawers hold all the crookery/utensils that you should need. There is also a dining table with plenty of room for two.
In the shower shed there is a shower with hot water, heated by a gas heater (please note that during winter months, if temperatures fall below 0 this may not be available). There are also towels provided for your stay. Disclaimer- the head height is approximately 6ft 2 inches.
We welcome up to 4 well behaved dogs per booking(size dependant as the hut is a cosy space). The hut garden is very dog friendly and enclosed with a mix of farm fencing, a high wall bank and natural fencing. It creates a safe and spacious area for your dog/s to run around, explore and enjoy!
Unfortunately, we cannot cater for reactive/banned dogs as ourselves and our neighbours have dogs and there are sheep/cows on land nearby.
We are now also offering bodyboard hire during stays with us, for our guests to be able to enjoy a fun activity at the local Cornish beaches! Feel free to ask us any questions you may have about this.

Everything contained within the enclosed area is for guest use.
Other things to note
Smoking is NOT permitted anywhere on the property due to the surrounding wildlife.
Please note- We have local bee hives (not on the property), and whilst the bees should not disturb you during your stay we wish to make guests aware in case of severe allergies.
Also the hut is surrounded by nature so you may see a wide variety of wildlife including grass snakes, squirrels, birds, hedgehogs and deer in the neighbouring field.
