The space
Fully-appointed and newly renovated semi-detached home set on the banks of the beautiful, historic Hollingworth Lake.
Master bedroom has a king size bed, second bedroom has 2 single beds, and there is also a small box room with a fold-up single bed that can sleep one, or one child (if you bring your own travel cot - see details below).

Many wonderful cafés, bars and restaurants are just a short walk away (less than 2 minutes). Whether you want seafood, Italian, British pub food, fish and chips (takeaway and sit-in), or burgers and fries, Hollingworth Lake has it all. There's also a fantastic arcade and ice-cream diner, which the kids will love.
Hollingworth Lake:
Hollingworth Lake Country Park is an award-winning tourist destination, built originally as the main water source for the Rochdale Canal but was later developed as a tourist resort in the 1860s.
This much-loved beauty spot offers a wide range of facilities for all ages, making it the ideal place for everyone to enjoy the great outdoors.
The lake itself is beautiful. You can walk around the whole lake in about 1 hour. There are nature trails, picnic areas, a café on the opposite side, wildlife observation points and wonderful walks. You and your family will love it. At certain times of the year, there are pony trekking and horse-riding activities. Check local websites for availability.
Activity Centre:
Hollingworth Lake Water Activity Centre offer boat hire, sailing lessons, wind surfing and a whole host of other activities. Opening times and availability vary, so please check out their website or call them if you have any questions. (We're not affiliated with them in any way)
Wider Area:
If you want to challenge yourself more, Blackstone Edge is only a few miles away, which offers incredible hiking and cycling routes, and lots of other pubs and things to do. There are also golf courses and canal walks in close proximity.
Hebden Bridge, a market town, full of excellent restaurants, bars and things to do for all the family, is around 20 minutes away by car. Also, the fabulous Brontë museum in Haworth is around 40 minutes away by car. Well worth a trip.
Supermarkets:
There are a number of supermarkets within a few miles, such as Morrisons, Aldi, Asda and Tesco. Local shops also provide the essentials.

Please note that both the outside steps leading up to the house and the internal staircase are quite steep, and may not suit guests with mobility issues.

Please note that both the outside steps leading up to the house and the internal staircase are quite steep, and may not suit all guests, particularly those with mobility issues. In addition, if you have young children, please bring a stairgate for their safety.
