Liberty Cottage is a beautifully restored 200-year-old miner's cottage in the heart of St Agnes village, one of Cornwall's most loved coastal destinations. Dramatic clifftops, amazing sheltered surf spots and a thriving village of independent shops, cafes and pubs are all on your doorstep.

-Area of natural beauty & World Heritage coastline
-Beach on foot
-Free parking outside the cottage
-High-speed fibre WiFi
-Fully equipped, home from home

The space
Small, but perfectly formed, with original refurbished sash windows, cosy bedrooms and tiny outdoor space for drying wetsuits and storing surf boards, bikes or buggies, Liberty Cottage is the perfect bolthole for your Cornish holiday.

Free on street parking right in front of the cottage.

With a comfy king size bed and compact bunk beds, we hope that Liberty Cottage will appeal to couples and young families alike. We have tried to create a house that has all the comforts of home as well as the practical stuff you need for a self-catering break on the coast.

The cottage is also perfect for remote working as we have a reliable 150MB Fibre internet connection, a dedicated workspace and is located within walking distance to several cafes and restaurants.

Located next to some of the country's best surf spots, best walking trails and cycling routes!

Guest access
Lots of what St Agnes has to offer is available on foot from the cottage. There are many dining options a short stroll in almost any direction and it’s just as easy to pick up a pint of milk or every day essentials from the local shop, we recommend the Spar shop up the road for that. There is free on-street parking on British Road and it is also possible to park directly outside the cottage to make unloading easier.

Other things to note
The second bedroom is a snug bunk room with full-size beds — perfect for little ones, and teenagers and adults have slept here happily too. The dining table is compact but with the extra seats stashed under the stairs it is possible to seat 4. Please note the staircase is narrow and a stair-gate cannot be fitted.

⭐️Bookings from the 18th July to September 5th 2026 are only for full weeks, arriving and leaving Saturdays ⭐️

Neighbourhood highlights

There is something special about St Agnes. Not only is it both a Designated Area of Natural Beauty and a World Heritage Site, but it is also home to a thriving and creative community with independent shops and businesses.

A stone's throw from the cottage are a number of lovely pubs, bakeries, veg shops, newsagents and galleries that mean there is always a gentle buzz around the village.

Our location on the north Cornish coast means that we are blessed with beautiful beaches:

Trevaunance Cove is a short walk away - great for surf school, coffees or cocktails and rock-pooling.

Chapel Porth - a must visit even just to sample the famous 'hedgehog' ice-creams.

Trevellas Cove - lovely for sunsets and swims at high tide.

Explore the local area using the many footpaths to take in sights like the Beacon with its panoramic views which stretch from Trevose Head all the way to St Ives in the west.

Architect. Married to Rich and has two children. Originally from Göteborg, Sweden. Me and Rich love the beach and being out at sea bobbing on our surfboards. We have explored the coastline of almost the whole of Cornwall and a fair bit of Devon as well. But our hearts are in St Agnes and the surrounding coastline. We hope you make many wonderful memories and enjoy the fresh ocean air as much as we do.
