Beautiful and walkable

Guests say this area is scenic and it’s easy to get around.
A home from home for slowing down, sandy days, reconnection and special time together. A 5 minute walk to the beach, and ten to collect the fish and chips, you will swap busy routines for simple seaside living: drop the bags and make a cuppa to enjoy in the sun while the kids (and dog) run straight onto the safe, enclosed lawn.

Everything is designed with you in mind: easy driveway parking for 3 cars, a beautiful space to share your celebration and plenty of equipment for the kids.

The space
Magnolia House, Swanage is your dream family holiday home. With oodles of space for everyone and an incredible garden and location, you’ll make special memories of your seaside break.

There are two king rooms, one of which includes an en-suite. There are two twin rooms. In addition to the beds sleeping 8, there’s a snug/office downstairs, with a sofa bed suitable for children.

There is ample dining space in the sunny dining room for all ten of you, so the house is wonderful for celebrating and family gatherings.

The kitchen is modern and beautifully finished, with a large fridge freezer to accommodate celebratory drinks and snacks for your whole group. Luxuries like the range cooker and boiling tap make for easy group meals and the high chairs and cutlery for youngsters mean less to pack too.

The washing machine and dryer in the utility means you won’t need to lug the laundry home, and there’s space for boots and coats from your adventures too!

The cosy living room looks out onto the patio and large lawn beyond, meaning you can watch the children and dog at play with a cuppa in comfort.

The garden is perfect: large enough to find a comfy spot in the sun or shade at any time of day with ample comfortably seating and dining space too. There’s a large BBQ.

Upstairs there is a large family bathroom as well as an ensuite adjoining the master king room. There’s also a downstairs toilet, neighbouring the snug room, which makes sleeping downstairs very convenient.

Guest access
The whole beach house is yours exclusively, and is very private.

Detached and with a large fully enclosed (to 6 foot) garden, it makes the perfect place to relax with your loved ones.

Magnolia House, Swanage is on a quiet culdesac with driveway parking for three cars (again, exclusively yours) and more parking available (free) on the road.

Just ask if you'd like to access the garage, where you'll find your beach trolley filled with sandcastle making equipment for little (and big!) hands and some serious memory making.

Other things to note
There is an EV charger for you on the private driveway. Please just let me know in advance if you'd like to use it. There is no charge.

Swanage is a classic seaside town with a relaxed, family-friendly feel and easy access to some of the best bits of the Jurassic Coast. Families return time and time again because of the old-fashioned charm and incredible beaches.

Swanage itself is easy, welcoming and brilliant for families and dogs. There are plenty of relaxed pubs, cafés and restaurants where muddy boots and sandy children are normal, along with parks, the seafront, a beachside sauna and lots of space to wander without needing the car. Dogs are welcome in many spots and there’s always somewhere nearby for a coffee, an ice cream or a post-beach pint while the kids let off steam.

Within 30 minutes you can be on safe, sandy beaches perfect for children, paddling and sandcastle building, or exploring quieter coves for rock pooling and fossil hunting. Swanage Beach and the Pier are ideal for traditional seaside days, while nearby spots like Studland offer wide open sands and dunes.

Dog walkers are spoilt for choice, with coastal paths, clifftop walks and countryside trails all close by. Durlston Country Park is brilliant for family walks with big views and wildlife and the South West Coast Path runs right through the area for longer adventures.

There are plenty of easy days out for families too, from boat trips and steam trains to playgrounds, cafés and local attractions, all without long drives. Everything feels close, manageable and properly holiday-friendly, making Swanage a great base for exploring the coast at your own pace.
