Room in a cottage

Room in an attractive 400-year old listed cottage in the pretty village of Sonning. Overlooks fields and a large and attractive garden. 15mins by car from Reading and Henley and under an hour from Windsor and Oxford. Recently redecorated kitchen and wet-room. A self-serve continental breakfast is included. Earlier check-in by arrangement.

The space
This attractive room has a single bed and also a large double futon sofabed if required, together with a desk and fibre broadband, making it suitable for contractors in the IT industry as well as those on short breaks in the Thames Valley.

The house was previously 2 and this room is reached up a separate staircase, and usually (depending on bookings) its own bathroom. There is a separate mini-kitchen also, and a deep clean is done between bookings.

Check in time before 6 may be possible by arrangement.

Guest access
Shared beamed living room. A separate quiet sitting room also available.

Single small dogs by prior arrangement for a small additional charge only.

During your stay
As you prefer! I often bake bread for guests and can sometimes provide evening meals on request.

Happy to provide guided walks or drive guests and provide info about local sites including Windsor, Henley and Oxford

The Coppa is a great riverside bistro, a pleasant 10 minutes' walk away and Sonning has a great pub and tea-room also.

Other things to note
Easy access to Thames Valley Park and Reading 15mins by car or along the Thames. Safe off-road parking and secure storage for cycles available. A cycle ride from the Redgrave Pinsent rowing course.
