Nestled on the edge of the picturesque village of Walsham-le-Willows, Stable End Holiday Cottage is a beautifully renovated former stable that perfectly blends original character with modern comfort. Set within a peaceful working farm, it’s an idyllic rural retreat for couples, families, or friends seeking to slow down, reconnect and enjoy the very best of Suffolk.
Step inside to a bright, vaulted open-plan living space, where exposed beams, natural light, and a cosy wood-burning stove create a welcoming atmosphere. Logs are provided for your first night, with extra available to purchase; ideal for those evenings curled up with a good book or favourite film. The thoughtfully designed single-level layout ensures both comfort and accessibility.
Stable End sleeps up to five guests across two inviting bedrooms; one double, and one double with an additional single bed — plus a modern shower room with everything you need for a relaxing stay. For entertainment, brand-new Smart TVs are fitted in the living room and both bedrooms, so you can easily log in to your Netflix or Prime accounts.
Outside, the fully enclosed rear courtyard is the perfect spot for morning coffee or evening drinks, while giving peace of mind that your dogs are safe and secure. Guests also have access to a shared three-acre paddock, ideal for a good run — please note this area is not fully enclosed but has post-and-rail fencing. Around the farm, you may meet our friendly resident chickens and cockerel as they wander about. Stable End has private on-site parking for up to four cars within the gated entrance.

Whether it’s a leisurely stroll or a full day’s hike, the peaceful surroundings make every walk memorable. DOG FRIENDLY HOLIDAY
As dog lovers ourselves, we welcome dogs with open arms! Stable End is completely dog friendly with no restrictions to certain rooms; throws are provided for comfort on the furniture. An outdoor tap in the fully-enclosed courtyard is handy for muddy paws after countryside adventures. If you have a reactive dog, please be aware that we do have dogs living on the premises that our guests will likely encounter during your stay!

Guests arrive through a gated entrance with private off-road parking on a gravelled area, suitable for up to four cars. A storage shed is also available in this area, containing cleaning products and useful items, as detailed in the welcome folder provided inside the cottage.
Entry to Stable End is via the front door, accessed through the enclosed courtyard (ramp up to door). For check-in, you can choose between a convenient key-box entry (your code will be sent prior to arrival) or a personal meet-and-greet, arranged in advance.
