This beautiful modern house occupies a truly magical position overlooking the sandy beach at Glenelg Bay, with panoramic views across the sea to the Isles of Skye and Eigg.
Impeccably fitted out, using natural and sustainable materials, the house offers a stylish combination of modern minimalism and crafted comfort. Floor to ceiling, South-facing windows fill the double height living space with natural light and offer mesmerising views of the ever-changing skies, tides and wildlife.
The space
The main area is a spacious, light-filled, double-height living space which includes a huge sofa and a large dining table. The generous fitted kitchen connects directly to this space.
There are two bedrooms - a double facing the front of the house, and a twin facing the back. They share a generous shower room and toilet. A separate WC can be found in the utility room off the entrance hall.
You'll find plenty of books and maps to help you enjoy the incredible surroundings.
Guest access
You will have entire use of the main house. The smaller building is separately bookable. Use of the garden is shared, as is the parking area.
Please note that we are part of a social enterprise Turadh and stays are only available to UK residents.
Other things to note
Taigh Whin is part of Turadh a social enterprise offering spaces of rest and renewal for charity and community workers in Scotland. A small number of weeks are made available for general holiday lettings every year, and the funds raised through these are essential to supporting our non-profit project. These stays are only currently available to guests from the UK.
By choosing to stay here, you will be helping make it possible for others in need of rest and restoration to also stay in this special wild place. Further details can be found at the Turadh website and you are also welcome to contact us there.
