The space
A curated stone hideaway where 1800s character meets boutique luxury. Designed exclusively for couples who refuse to leave their canine companions behind, this former village school is a romantic retreat where dogs are the guests of honour.
The Space
Step into The Old School House, where historic charm meets interior-designed comfort. Forget the 'standard' rental; this is a space for slow mornings and indulgent evenings. The heart of the home is the living area, where you can curl up on the plush sofa by the glow of the log burner, the perfect setting to lose yourself in a book or a bottle of wine.
For those evenings when you’d rather not cook in the granite topped kitchen, the village’s heart is just steps away. Directly across the lane sits The Blue Lion Inn, a charming, dog-friendly pub serving excellent food. It’s your local 'extended living room' for a pint with the locals.
Rest & Ritual Upstairs
The master suite is an intimate haven. A king-sized bed with a premium mattress promises deep sleep, complemented by a rare luxury: a private walk-in dressing room. The bathroom is a true showpiece, featuring a stunning slipper bath positioned for woodland views. It’s a space designed for long, bubbly soaks.
A VIP Experience for your dog
Skip the kennel fees and treat your companion to a five-star stay. Your dog enjoys their own dedicated bedroom with a daybed, alongside a bespoke downstairs wet room designed for effortless post-hike cleanups.
Gardens & History
The history of the schoolhouse lives on in the details. We invite you to sign the guestbook and carve your initials into the original school desk, a permanent mark on the building's story.
Outside, the experience continues across two distinct spaces:
The Upper Tier: A fully enclosed, festoon-lit patio and lawn, perfect for peaceful morning coffees.
The Wild Garden: A second, fenced outer garden with natural hilly (and muddy!) terrain, designed for adventurous canine playtime.
From the Offa’s Dyke trails at your door, beaches a short drive down the lanes and Snowdonia under an hour away - to the moody, fireside nooks within, this is the ultimate North Wales romantic escape.
