A one-bedroom Bath stone cottage in the heart of Bradford-on-Avon, with its own private garden — steps from the canal, cafés and historic streets.
Inside is calm and uncluttered, with a comfortable double bedroom, modern bathroom and fully equipped kitchen. Wi-Fi and a smart TV suit short breaks or longer stays.
A quiet, characterful base for couples or solo travellers exploring Wiltshire, Bath and the surrounding countryside, with the train station a stone’s throw away.
The space
Recently refurbished to a high standard, this beautifully presented two-storey Bath stone cottage offers refined comfort and rare privacy in the very heart of Bradford-on-Avon. Set discreetly back from the street and screened from view, it combines central convenience with a peaceful, secluded feel.
Inside, the interiors are calm, considered and thoughtfully arranged. A practical entrance area provides space for coats and outdoor shoes — ideal after riverside or countryside walks.
Downstairs, the sitting room is an inviting space to unwind with smart TV or radio, while the fully equipped kitchen makes longer stays effortless. The kitchen includes a stove, fridge, kettle, toaster and Nespresso coffee machine (pods provided), along with tea and essential household provisions. A washer-dryer and clothes drying rack are also available for added convenience.
Upstairs, the second floor features gently sloping ceilings, typical of a cottage of this age, adding charm and cosiness to the space. The bedroom offers a king-size bed, chest of drawers and built-in wardrobe. The bathroom, located just off the landing, includes a full-sized bath (please note there is no separate shower), contemporary fittings, a heated towel rail, illuminated mirror and fresh towels for your stay.
To the rear, a private garden provides a tranquil outdoor retreat — perfect for morning coffee in the sun or an evening drink after exploring the town. Despite being moments from independent cafés, the canal and the railway station, the cottage feels peaceful.
Guest access
The cottage is accessed via a private alleyway just off the main road, opposite the train station. Entry is through a garden gate which leads directly to the property, giving a sense of privacy despite the central location.
The access is simple, though it can be dark in the evening, so a mobile torch may be useful if arriving late.
