Trareoch Lodge is a semi-detached 2 story house on the Isle of Arran. Enjoy a unique stay at Trareoch Lodge in a sea side location, with views out over a quiet bay and direct access to the shore through a wild flower meadow. The Lodge is a 1930's semi detached 3 bedroom house with its own enclosed garden and private parking. We are 1 mile south of Whiting Bay down a single track road with 300m of dirt track.
Sleeps 7 with room for an extra 2 on a sofa bed. Dining table and lounge seating for 8.

The space
Fully renovated to a high standard in 2023 and brand new on the market for rental, Trareoch Lodge is a traditional 1930's building with a large open living and dining space. Entrance from the car park is into the kitchen and from there into the living room. There is a large lower hallway with a toilet and traditional stair with a landing leading up to the upper hall. The bedrooms, a master king size with en-suite, a double king size, a bunk room with 3 singles and a separate shower room are found on the 1st floor. Views from the bedrooms and en-suite are of the meadow and sea, the master has a view out onto fields and forest.

Guest access
Guests have the entire Lodge and it's enclosed garden and car park. There is a lockable garage/drying room perfect for bikes and outdoor/water-sports gear.
Access to the beach is through a shared meadow.

Other things to note
Access to Trareoch Lodge is down a dirt track and single track tarmac road, this is shared with one other house. The track is suitable for most vehicles but if you have a very low slung vehicle and are unsure please contact us for advice. The track is not suitable for very large commercial vans or large camper vans.

The Lodge water supply is from a private spring, it is uv filtered and has to pass an Environmental Health quality test each year. The water is very clear and has no chlorine taste, it is suitable for elderly and young people and can be drunk straight from the tap.

There are no EV fast charging facilities and we do not allow trickle charging via a standard 3 pin socket.

Service animals must be crated at night and are not allowed on furniture or upstairs. Please be aware that we keep chickens and that service dogs must be kept on a lead when outside.

Trareoch Lodge is outside of the villages in a rural location. There are 2 other houses which share the same bay at Largybeg, both are over 200m away. There are footpaths around the area and the beach is very close.
