The space
An unexpected discovery at the end of a lovely village.
INTRODUCTION:
Once part of a working dairy farm, this beautiful listed house sits in an elevated location at end of a small village. Surrounded by trees and with open views from the front. This home has been indulgently restored throughout and history preserved. Beamed ceilings, log burners, paneled walls and warm colours add country charm throughout.
The house nestles quietly at the top of the village surveying the landscape of the Old Severn Bridge & historic church. Aust is a village with no through road, thus easily accessible, yet perfectly quiet. Famed for its fossil hunting on the estuary which is a short walk through the village. Although it appears as a main road sits behind it - the house is in fact high up on a woodland hill and noise is not a major factor. ( you can see from the drone image).
This is a perfect location for cyclists, walkers, surfers and people visiting Bristol, the Cotswolds or just couples wanting time out in the countryside, but no small lanes to navigate.
Here, life takes on a slower cadence to that of city living; moving only as fast as the lazy honeybee bouncing from flower to flower in the late summer sun. Owls hoot, deer forage and you will find yourself wondering how you are so close to civilization and yet feel miles away.
