10 minute walk along the canal towpath to a traditional country pub serving good food (The Wharf Tavern, Goldstone).
10 minutes walk other way for Goldstone Hall Hotel - a high-end country hotel and designated RHS gardens. A treat for breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea or dinner and wander around the award-winning gardens.
Walking and cycling abound in Shropshire, on the doorstep or head across to the North Shropshire Hills (AONB).
Also all within day-trip distance are the world-famous Ironbridge, Blists Hill and the other museums at the heart of the Industrial Revolution. Visit historic Shrewsbury or Ludlow, or have a family thrill seeking day at Alton Towers or Drayton Manor Park.
