Nestled above the dunes of Three Cliffs Bay and a stones throw away from Pennard Castle, you will find yourself at Windyhill. A colourful beach chalet owned by a local artist, Pip and seen in magazines such as Coast and Lonely Planet. Hand built with love, using reclaimed, and natural materials. Each room is vibrant, quirky and a showcase of pips creativity. Located on the coastal path, waves can be heard crashing on the beach below. The perfect spot for those wanting to explore Gower.

The space
A cosy and charming chalet, sprinkled with local art, pippas beach finds and handmade ceramics. Windyhill is the perfect place for families, couples, walkers and nature lovers to relax and escape from busy life.

It's sea blue exterior is the perfect backdrop to the colourful flowers and fishing buoys that adorn the garden . Once inside you'll find yourself in the main space, open plan with a spacious kitchen, dining and living area. To the rear of the property is often described as a magical tardis. With it's family bathroom and three bedrooms leading the way to the rear garden and outdoor living space.

Kitchen - Bespoke, artisian and equipped with everything you could possibly need for a self catering holiday. There is a gas hob/oven, full sized fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher, blender and more. South facing, this room is gorgeous for the morning light!

Dining/Living Area - cosy and inviting. A large dining table to enjoy meals together and a cosy corner sofa to cwtch up under one of the many beautiful blankets, in front of the log burner. With a smart TV, Pips selection of books, DVDs and games - this is the perfect space to enjoy for all of the family.

Bathroom - family sized with flushing toilet, bath with shower and sink. A light and airy space that's lovely to enjoy a relaxing bath after a day of exploring the Gower. Pretty handmade pottery tiles with a scene of three cliffs have been made by Pippa.

Sleeping - Windyhill is a three bedroom chalet. Bedroom 1 has a double bed and additional sleeping pod above with single mattress. A favorite amongst our smaller guests. Please note that the sleeping pod is up a ladder and is a small space. Bedroom 2 has a 3/4 bed (small double) and bedroom 3 has a standard double. Although we advertise to sleep 6, for those not minding a more cosy sleeping arrangement we can accept up to 7 guests.

Outside Space - As well as being an artist Pippa has spent many years working as a gardener and has created her own oasis. The outside space at Windyhill is really quite special. Created from reclaimed, natural materials and taking inspiration from our coastal location - there is a large decked area with plenty of seating at the rear of the property, a sheltered outside cwtch with sofa, a hammock for lazing in the sun trapped garden or wrapping up in at night looking at the stars. We have amazing dark sky's at night here in Gower.

Guest access
During your stay you will have Windyhill to yourself. Including all of its outside areas and garden.

Please note that although a chalet, there is a step to access the rear of the property where the bathroom and bedrooms are found. As well as a couple of steps in the deck in the garden. This property may not be suitable for persons with limited mobility.

Other things to note
Please be aware that Sandylane is true to it's name, being off the main roads and on a sandy, bumpy track. Lower/sport cars may struggle on some of the bumpist sections.

** Health + Safety **
Please be aware that the sleeping pod is accessed via a ladder which is not attached to the wall. A little east facing window is beautiful for lying in bed and watching the sunrise. However this is not a fire escape. The door to this bedroom can be locked for peace of mind for bookings with little ones, if needed.

Expect to see quirky wooden chalets, colorful cabins and impressive eco builds. If you take a walk and explore Sandylane, you will feel the strong sense of community - which is something quiet special and which Sandylane is well known for. There are no street lights or pavements here, you will totally escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life during your stay!

I’ve lived on Sandy Lane, Gower all my life—it truly is a slice of heaven! I’m a creative soul and run Pottery and Driftwood Workshops from home, sharing my love for handcrafted art. My happiest moments are spent walking with my dog and swimming in the sea, embracing nature’s beauty.
