Family-friendly holiday rentals in Hauraki Gulf / Tīkapa Moana

This was an annual 'three sister's weekend' trip. A very comfortable stay and a perfect location with an easy 10 minutes' walk to the local shops. Plenty to explore, with a great variety of cafes, coffee shops and restaurants. Local beaches are within short driving distances and a must go to is the Raglan Wharf for fresh fish and chips. The view from the accommodation was breath taking sitting outside to watch the sun rise with a coffee or a wine to watch the sunset.

I was part of a wedding party for days-long wedding festivities up the road and Jeremy and Rae's Tiny House was the perfect retreat from the chaos – as well as a blissful place for us to do hair and makeup looking out over the peaceful paddocks! Jeremy and Rae are super lovely, helpful and friendly and I really appreciated the little extras – from chocolate biscuits in a tin, to bringing coffee while we were getting ready for the wedding. Highly recommend The Tiny House for a rural escape that's not too far from AK City!

What a great air bnb! Location is in the heart of Mount Maunganui, so you can park up for the week and walk to the beach or town within 2 minutes. Easy check in - nice, clean apartment and has everything you need. Only thing is the week went to fast, we could have easily stayed longer. Also the view from the apartment is stunning! Perfect spot for a relaxing wekend with friends. We loved how close it was to the beach and the bikes made it so easy to get around Omaha. Kate was super helpful and accommodating.

Easy to work with the landlady as we were a very late notice booking, and very accommodating for extension if required. Highly recommended.

Very clean and tidy house with outstanding views over Mangawhai Estuary and out to the sea beyond. And the deck to enjoy the views made it even better!! We will definitely look to book here again if we are up this way in the future.

We had such a gorgeous stay in the Tree House. It was clean, different and surrounded with beautiful nature. It was a lovely little retreat, nice and quiet with stunning views. We have already recommended to friends and would stay here again x thank you for having us!

Such a beautiful batch. Big enough for a small family. Beautiful views and the walk up to Mount Paku is gorgeous. Quick walk to the beach and a short drive to everything. Would definitely stay again. Hosts very responsive and helpful. Thanks so much again guys ☺️

Thank you so much Donna for sharing your beautiful little piece of heaven. The place is so much better than we could imagine! The outdoor area is insanely beautiful and with a lot of privacy and the studio is a perfect little beach cottage. We had a great time and can’t recommend it enough!

My wife and I stayed here while on a get away from the hustle and bustle of the city life. What a quaint, quiet and peaceful spot! Central to Hamilton, Tauranga and Coromandel areas, with beautiful walks and views makes this spot a great base for a weekend get away. Start the morning picking your own berries. Take them with you up Wairere Falls to sweeten up your lunch. Come back and enjoy a hard earned fresh real fruit ice cream made by Sue herself to cool down. Then enjoy the rest of the afternoon basking in the sun! Thanks Sue and Ron for the lovely stay!

Beautiful surroundings with a nice view of active farm. There’s a booklet of detailed “things to do” on the table which was helpful. We enjoyed bush walk in the private property and gone to nearby beach to collect some pipis. Loved our stay.

We had a great stay, the house had everything we needed. Very cozy and comfortable, easy walk to the CBD.

Our stay at Felicia’s was simply perfect! She took care of us from start to finish, always available and attentive. Her hospitality and kindness made our experience even more enjoyable. This place was beautiful! It was spacious and very well laid out, with a great kitchen, outdoor area, super comfy bed and it was also surrounded by a beautiful orchard. There's a paddock next door where there's friendly horses too. The quality of this place makes it an absolute bargain. Can not speak highly enough of this beautiful BNB. Thank you to the owners 😊

Nestled very close to the beautiful Chelsea Heritage Park and iconic Chelsea Sugar Refinery, this is a lovely, spacious guest suite in a quiet location. Tracey is an awesome host; warm, friendly and most accommodating to our needs from the start of our stay to the finish. We were relieved to find that she had kindly provided fresh milk, orange juice, coffee, teabags and snacks when we woke up on the first day after a very late arrival the night before, due to a plane cancellation. The beds are comfortable, the place is clean and you feel right at home in the lounge overlooking a gorgeous, well-established garden. It was lovely to sit on the patio with a freshly-brewed morning coffee listening to the range of dawn birdsong. Although we didn't use it, the pool area was lovely too. All in all, a solid recommendation for this gem in a lovely spot. Thank you, Tracey!

Thankyou for my 3 day city slicker holiday. It was the gym and pool that initially attracted me to this listing (didn't get round to enjoying it...maybe next time). The apartment is a surprisingly peaceful retreat that's 'tucked away from everything busy' in the heart of the city. It had all the modern home comforts (which made it easy to keep clean) and it was nicely presented. I enjoyed R&R out on the deck (it was a great sun-trap) and stretched out on the couch watching movies. The bed was super comfy too. Perfect me time! Easy access to get to and from the motorways, and the carpark was a blessing. Highly recommend.

Very comfortable stay, in beautiful surroundings on a dairy farm. Central too. So not too far to shops, cafes and restaurants. We had lunch at a blueberry farm close by, and visited Hobbiton.
