We were looking for an overnight stay but found a gem. If we could, we would return for a longer stay to explore a little more. Felt at home straight away. Marissa and Derek are exceptional hosts. Unusual surroundings, easy to moderate walks around the farm. Tremendous history. Delightful meals & refreshments offered to vary guests after a long day of traveling.

A gem of a place. Definitely need a high clearance vehicle. Such amazing views. Lovely touches with coffee, tea, 5l water, firewood and beakuit. Super comfy quality beds. The outdoor bath is amazing and various fireplaces. A proper farm stay in a secluded area. We absolutely loved it and would love to return if we get the chance.

This is a really special house! It is located in the most tranquil part of the world and the house itself is beautifully decorated and has absolutely everything you could need for a self-catering stay. Don’t consider anywhere else if you are looking for self-catering near Tarkastad. Angie is a magnificent host and goes the extra mile on everything. We hope to be back!

The listing indicated shared bathrooms but they are actually en-suite. Friendly, helpful and efficient manager. Lovely workspace with a comfortable office chair, and rooms are nice and big. Wifi A+ All in all - good value for money - I'd definitely stay there again.
