Castle holiday rentals in Manche

Staying in Stephanie and her family’s Chateau de Tocqueville was absolutely a five star experience to us. We spent three night here in the castle but found it’s absolutely not enough to experience the property. We could utilize four floors with five stylish bedrooms and a fully equipped kitchen and salon on the ground floor plus the pond, tennis court, biking area…and more. It’s a perfect place to spend a few days or weeks. We spent a few hours to read Alexi de Tocqueville’s books (but only finished one fifth of the book) in the place where he wrote the book, the feeling was so special and we felt like becoming the witness to the history.

Our stay at Chateau Le Mont Epinguet surpassed all of our expectations-- it's truly beautiful and Fiona and Mark are beyond friendly. We went as a group of 18 and still found the house incredibly spacious-- you'll never be on top of one another! The gardens outside are lovely and provide lots of spots for sunbathing/reading (and so spacious we even got in a game of rounders). The kitchen has as much crockery as you might ever desire; there are several excellent and large supermarkets within a 15 minute drive (better quality produce and more economical than any British supermarket). Above all-- I cannot express the warmth and kindness of Mark and Fiona-- they're exceptional hosts who attended to any queries we had and provided a wealth of excellent beach & restaurant recommendations. A beautiful chateau, a wonderful (eccentric) interior, with lovely gardens (esp. the palm trees), and great for friends who wish to spend some time stuck together.

Vackert beläget, mycket vänlig värd och värdinna. Stora ytor tillgängliga, väl planerad lägenhet och tillgång till uteplats och trädgård. Undebart!

The chateau was everything we thought it would be from the moment we drove through the gate. The serene setting was welcoming and inviting. The gardens and landscaping were lush and picturesque. Upon entering the front door, we felt like we’d been transported to the 16th century. Wood floors, flowing draperies and richly colored walls all add to the general ambiance. There are numerous bedrooms from which to choose, playrooms for children, spacious living and dining rooms and a kitchen meant for gathering. The kitchen is well stocked and the fireplace warms the rooms and its inhabitants. The two outdoor tables provide opportunities to enjoy the setting while sipping wine or eating a meal, Marc was very accommodating. He offered suggestion for things to do and places to shop in Sartilly.

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour chez Monique, à la découverte du Cotentin. Le logement est dans un endroit paisible où il fait bon de profiter de la terrasse. Le tout était très propre.

Eric est un hôte prévenant, réactif, flexible, tout en restant discret. Que demander de plus?

Propriété parfaite pour un séjour avec amis et enfants. Nous avons pu profiter de la belle plage à proximité (sans personne d'autre que nous!), du tennis et autres activités disponibles sur place.

Isabelle made us feel at home for our family Christmas reunion. She had set a Christmas tree and provided additional amenities as we were preparing our trip (raclette machine) 10 minutes from large supermarket. Super comfortable and well supplied (dishes, glasses) for our group of 8. Isabelle gave us advices for local markets and shopping. We also appreciated the laundry + dryer specifically since we lost our luggage

François was awesome and his Chateau was beautiful. He had a wonderful garden in the back and a private beach you could go to with a waterfall. It was special. Very close to all the b-day beaches and the town of Bayeux. François was friendly and helpful with suggestions.

Francois is een bijzonder prettige gastheer, hij is genereus en behulpzaam. Hij geeft een gevoel van gastvrijheid en een warm welkom. De omgeving is mooi. Het is een rustige plek waar je in de avond zalig kan lezen. We hebben het naar ons zin gehad. Veel gewandeld. Het bed was aan de smalle kant. (120 breed) en dat was zeker even wennen.

Nous avons passé un séjour merveilleux dans ce manoir. Wilfrid, notre hôte, a été incroyablement accueillant et arrangeant tout au long de notre séjour. L'Airbnb est tout simplement charmant et imprégné d'histoire, que Wilfrid partage avec tant d'amour et de passion. C'était un véritable plaisir d'apprendre sur l'histoire du lieu. Nous n'hésiterons pas à revenir dès que nous en aurons l'opportunité ! Merci encore, Wilfrid !
