Cottage holiday rentals in Nine Mile Burn

Beautiful cottage in a stunning location in the Fife countryside, with fantastic views over the Forth river. We had a very peaceful and relaxing stay. Will hopefully be back sometime. Thankyou.

Our stay at Laura's house was incredible. She provided everything we needed and more. We had our 1yr and 3yr with us and she had a toy for them, provided a high chair and bath seat along with the cot we requested. The house was so clean and beautiful, everything was perfect! Loved being surrounded by farm land, you can see Wallace Monument from the back of the house. The back patio is fenced in so our boys could play safely. We loved the hot tub! What a bonus! Laura responded to every message immediately, she had a welcome basket of food and champagne for us, she was so helpful and accommodating. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Wonderful stay. The location is absolutely superb. What amazing views and so peaceful and remote. Sitting in the hot tub looking out over the hills was pure bliss!! And the stars you could see on a clear night, wow. Despite being so remote it’s close enough to Edinburgh that you can drive in and do all the attractions. So just perfect. Kylie was a fab host too, leaving Easter eggs for the kids and letting the kids feed her kunekune pig one day! The animals are great, especially Karen then hen, although she will come inside if allowed haha! All in all, we had a fantastic stay. Thank you Kylie

A tranquil and peaceful stay in this spacious and well equipped cottage. We were well looked after by Jenny and co. and felt totally relaxed. Enjoyed our interactions with farm life, which included birthing a lamb, petting the donkies and seeing the newborn kittens, it made our stay very special. The house is well located for trips into Edinburgh and Glasgow, or to enjoy nearby countryside. You won't regret it!

We had a lovely few days, staying at Appletree Cottage, with our two grandchildren aged 6 and 3. The cottage was very comfy and well equipped, and ideally suited our needs. Good location for many attractions such as Blair Drummond Safari Park, Falkirk Wheel and the Kelpies. We were lucky to have good weather so the excellent play area and hot tub were much enjoyed each day. Would definitely recommend booking.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Pentland Pod. The pod was very clean and well equipped. Hazel and Jim are fabulous hosts. It felt like staying with family friends. They made sure to give us lots of recommendations of things to visit in the area. We highly recommend this place and would love to come back in the future.

Lovely hosts, they were always quick to respond to any questions I had. It was a quiet and cosy place to stay which stayed warm despite us staying in winter. Would recommend to others.

Thank you for a beautiful stay!. Myself and 2 friends were celebrating turning 40. The house was stunning, and beautifully cared for. Everything we needed was at hand and if we had needed anything Emily was just a door knock away which was great to know. This little gem makes you feel like you are in the middle of nowhere taking some much needed time away.

Beautiful home right next to a nice playground. Location is perfect for us as we wanted somewhere away from the city, yet easily accessible. We drove 30mins to the tram station and park for free to get to Edinburgh. And the next day it took us about an hour drive from the house to get to Loch Lomond. Host did not reply my messages earlier that made me a little panic. But she immediately apologised and was so welcoming when we arrived. Love it!

Lucy is a very kind and generous person. She will do her utmost to help with any problems. Yesterday, I went out the back door to find a box of eggs from her chickens. She leaves them regularly. I know if there is anything where I need assistance I just need to ask and she's there. A truly super host

Beautiful well presented cottage, perfect location so close to lovely restaurants, The Mallard Hotel & The Old Clubhouse food was amazing. Lovely walk to the Beach close by, and a trip to Archerfield, also within walking distance. I strongly recommend a stay at Summerside Cottage, and I most definitely will book again.

We had the perfect time! The place was spotless and very comfortable. A real home away from home. The house has a lovely flow to it, so very comfortable for groups. Very private and peaceful but so close to Longniddry for groceries or the station. Helen and her family were friendly and approachable but left us to our own devices. The horse was lovely. I don't think the photos show that it has a bath - it does! So that was fantastic to discover. We would definitely stay again!

The cottage is lovely and in such a tranquil location. Accessible to both Edinburgh and Glasgow. It was immaculately clean and very cosy. Just what we needed.

We really enjoyed Kirsty’s place very comfortable, had everything you would need for a short or long stay. Would happily recommend this property for families, sleeps 5-7, spacious lounge with a well appointed kitchen. Kirsty was easy to communicate with and prompt with her responses.

The accommodations were spacious, the beds were comfortable, and the location is quiet. The home was very clean, and we found everything in working order. Gaele is friendly, responsive, and a gracious hostess. We highly recommend this property. We felt the welcome and she gave us great suggestions on restaurants and places to see.

We absolutely loved our stay in Laura's home, and felt like we were leaving our second home when going. The cottage is gorgeous, well decorated, cosy, and just a lovely place to be. The surroundings are so so beautiful and peaceful, full of gorgeous wildlife and great walks. I also enjoyed a couple of swims in the reservoir - but not before checking with the locals on how to use the water safety and also with much cold water swimming experience already. The community at Baddinsgill are all so lovely and welcoming. We loved meeting them, especially the kids who wanted Carolyn to be their gran! If all that isn't enough, the cottage is easily commutable to Edinburgh and we enjoyed a couple of fabulous days in there too. Thanks you so much. We do hope to come back. xxx

we really loved our stay , great location we hired a car and visited loads of places. arrived to a lovely welcome card, fresh fruit and bottle of wine, great touch. 26 acres of land to walk around with great views. our son loved it, didn't want to come home. would highly recommend it! .

Kerry helped us out massively when another Airbnb host cancelled at the last minute. She was very responsive and got her property ready for us super quick. The property is beautiful and we can’t praise Kerry enough

Wonderful stay at the Garden Cottage. A perfect location for beach, train, shop access. Beautiful garden with peaceful spots to enjoy it. The cottage instantly feels like home. Jane is lovely - helpful and very responsive.

My Husband and I had a wonderful stay in Peebles. Ash and Kenny’s communication was brilliant from start to finish, really made us feel looked after. The house is the perfect base for the surrounding areas and Edinburgh and you need a lovely bed and shower after walking around the city! Recommendations: The Milkman cafe in Peebles high street, Sully’s in Peebles high street for fab take away food, beer patio at The Bridge Inn pub in Peebles high street looking over the River Tweed. The walk along the river to Neidpath Castle is spectacular and mainly flat under foot. If you have a car, the car park next to Sainsbury’s (Edinburgh Road car park) is only a short walk from the house and free apart from Saturdays. Again, with a car, we drove to Hermiston P&R (about 35 mins), no car park fee and then a bus into Edinburgh (30 mins) for £11 for 2 adult day tickets (trams included). The Bus & Tram app is brilliant for planning/buying tickets, can buy tickets on the bus too.

We had an extended stay in Mohsinah's and we didn't want to leave. It's such a beautiful place to be in - the conservatory itself is a wonderful place - with extensive views of green fields and sweeping views of the Pentland hills. We didn't want to eat out because it would be hard to match the views and ambience of the cottage. Mohsinah herself was an excellent host - responding immediately and courteously to an initial query. We've stayed in many different places around the world - however Mohsinah's quiet and peaceful cottage stands out as a very special place. Highly recommended.
