Hotel holiday rentals in Northern Vietnam

A comfortable hotel close to the main part of Sapa. The laundry service was very convenient after a day of muddy trekking - they even washed our shoes for us! It's a good place to stay in Sapa.

Liked the place, very clean, nice hot shower and comfy beds. I didn’t love the breakfast, but they were very nice and kind. We had a room to the mountain so it was very quiet but the place is in a quiet road. Walkable to the pier and restaurants.

I was careful about chosing my hotel and am so glad I chose Aviary hotel! The location is perfect - it’s in the middle of all the hustle and bustle, yet the hotel was very clean, the furnitures were comfortable and most important of all is that it was quiet inside. I couldn’t hear any noise inside the bedroom. Having a peaceful and clean place to rest was so important. I was told that the hotel was recently renovated. Also, the staffs at the reception were very friendly and helpful. Gave me some great spots to try some delicious food. Am so thankful, highly recommend!

très bon séjour chez Zizi. le repas du soir était excellent, nous avons été très bien reçues et l'arrivée pu être flexible. le seul bémol est le référencement sur Airbnb, il faut bien 20 min en voiture pour rejoindre la maison.

The hospitality was amazing. Katie and Marshall ensured we had a memorable stay. They went out of their way to ensure we had a comfortable stay, offered tips for local sightseeing, offered us vegetarian food in breakfast.

The two Johns and Tracy were wonderful. You are always greeted with a smile and willingness to help. David in the breakfast room is really hospitable as well. The view from the breakfast room is really nice of the Old Quarter. The rooms are clean and are serviced daily. Amenities are provided with the room so you won’t really need anything regarding toiletries!

A very good cottage in a amazing garden. Very nice people, good breakfast and a wonderful countryside nearby. Mrs. Le is a very kompetent Landlady, who is Always friendly and helpful. The cooking service was great, we got a very tasty original vietnamese dinner. All the best for Mrs. Le and her Family!

We had a brilliant stay at Thành's place. Thành and his family are amazing hosts. Everything from his driver picking us up from Hanoi exactly on time, his bespoke tour (highly recommended and the highlight of our stay) the amazing locally grown food, and wealth of knowledge we received from Thành and his wife was fantastic. The area is fascinating with lots of great tours and very friendly people. Aside from the well known attractions, simply hiring a scooter/bike and travelling around to different less touristy villages was rewarding. We felt like part of the family staying here and we hope to stay in touch and visit again in the future. Thành and his family conduct themselves with integrity and will provide you with everything you need, or give you space if you prefer. Highly recommended.

Nous avons adoré notre séjour ! Tout était parfait, la chambre était confortable et la vue à couper le souffle. Nos hôtes ont été adorables de notre arrivée jusqu’au départ, la communication était idéale et ils nous ont prodigué des précieux conseils (restaurant, taxi, visites) tout au long de notre séjour. Nous recommandons vivement ce logement.

We really enjoyed the peace and quiet of Nan House after a few days in Hanoi, Nguyen was so welcoming, and very helpful with local recommendations! We loved the thung nham bird park! The free use of bicycles was perfect for getting here! And one of the bicycles had a child seat which was perfect and ment we didn’t need to take a taxi with our 4 year old! Breakfast was great. We would highly recommend and would love to come back for a future visit!

It was enjoyable stay, out of the centre but well worth it for a relaxing trip!

Ein wunderschönes Hotel mit super Lage! Man kann sich kostenlos Fahrräder ausleihen und damit die Umgebung erkunden. Das Frühstück war gut und vielfältig. Wir durften Waschmaschine und Trockner kostenlos benutzen. Die Inhaberin war immer erreichbar und hat sogar über unseren Aufenthalt hinaus einen privaten Fahrservice organisiert. Ein fantastischer Service!

Super sauberes Badezimmer, tolles Frühstück mit viel Auswahl und viel Obst. Der Motorbike Service war auch hervorragend. Alles super gerne wieder!

Wir waren auf unserer Backpacking Reise für drei Nächte auf Cát Bà. Die Unterkunft war perfekt für uns. Das Frühstück war überraschender Weise mit inbegriffen, worüber wir uns natürlich gefreut haben. Viele gute Restaurants waren fußläufig erreichbar. Als wir den Nationalpark besuchen wollten, konnten wir bequem über die Rezeption Roller ausleihen. Da ich lange kein Roller mehr gefahren bin, war sogar eine kleine Einführung vom Hotelpersonal inklusive :) Allgemein sollte einem bewusst sein, dass auf Cát Bà gerade viele Bauarbeiten im Gange sind, da Hotels gebaut werden. Sieht auf den ersten Blick eher unschön aus, lasst euch aber davon nicht abschrecken. Die Insel hat viel zu bieten. Insgesamt hatten wir einen schönen Aufenthalt und können die Unterkunft weiterempfehlen.

Staying at Cinnamon EcoLodge was the best experience in Vietnam so far. Staying in the middle of nature, surrounded by Cinnamon trees, rice fields, a mountain village, and animals was so peaceful. I also really enjoyed the home cooked dinners with Gioi and his whole family, they were so welcoming and made me feel at home. A few other highlights were the local market, the walk/hike through the village, and learning how to harvest cinnamon. It‘s very close to Sapa, but away from all the tourists. Big thanks to Gioi and his whole family. They also helped with organizing transportation. I can totally recommend staying there if you’re looking for tranquility and a local Vietnamese experience in nature.

Wir hatten einen super Aufenthalt. Das grmrinsame Kochen war super schön und wir haben gleich Freunde gefunden. Menschen aus aller Welt kommen zusammen. Wir haben sehr viel über die Kultur der Menschen dort erfahren dürfen. Vor allem die Medizintour und der Handcraft-Making Workshop sind sehr zu empfehlen. Vielen Dank für die tolle Zeit.

Cương is a great guy! His place is really nice and cosy. The mattresses were comfy, and the room we were in also had heated mattresses. The blanket was really nice and warm! It's quiet and secluded, but the place is a little hard to find as we followed the Google maps pin. Just keep a look out for the signboard instead. Food and drinks are offered and a price list is provided. Seems pretty standard fare comparing with the other homestays around. He offered to help us book a taxi and negotiated a good price (cheaper than grab taxi, and cheaper than the meter that still ran during the trip). Will definitely be back! Thanks for the great stay!

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. To be honest, the room was even better than it looked in the pictures. It was spacious, comfortable, and clean. The workspace and Wi-Fi connection were excellent. The bathroom is inside the room, and there’s a kitchen where you can prepare your own meals. However, do bear in mind that only one of the three hob rings was working. That said, it wasn’t an issue at all. The two young gentlemen responsible for housekeeping were polite and attentive. I truly appreciated their efforts to make me feel as comfortable as possible. I highly recommend this place for both short and long stays.

Great hosts, very responsive. Good instructions and great placement, walking distance to many things. Quite peaceful in an otherwise busy town! Very cute and comfortable. If you have lots of heavy luggage or have health issues, it may be difficult, there's quite a lot of stairs and it's quite narrow. The bathroom was a little bit difficult, when you shower you can't leave anything in the room because it will get wet.

The Ancient House was spectacular. Definitely a highlight of our family trip in Vietnam. We were tucked away in the mountains and had a great time relaxing and exploring the National Park. Mai's cooking was also divine. Thu Ha was excellent in communicating directions to reach the accommodation and she was so patient and helpful with arranging transfers to and from the village. Thank you so much! We all hope to be back one day.
