Holiday rentals in Calvert

We really enjoyed our stay - the flat was spotless, tastefully furnished and in a great location. The check‑in process was smooth and the host was responsive throughout. My only small gripe was the rigidity around check‑in and check‑out times. Check‑in wasn’t available until 4 PM, and check‑out strictly at 10 AM (with a hefty £35 fee to arrive earlier). Our cleaner arrived at 10:15 AM, which felt a little tight. If the host could offer even a 30‑minute buffer on either end, it would make arrivals and departures much more relaxed. Overall, highly recommended - just be aware of the fixed times!

We had such a lovely stay at Leon and Dahlia’s place. It’s the most beautiful house, with stunning interiors and everything we needed. Hosts were lovely, responsive and very thoughtful. We were visiting Willows activity farm nearby and seeing family, but given the brilliant location, we spent a lovely day exploring St Albans too. Thank you!

Andre gave very clear instructions about the property. It was in a good location, being within a few yards of a nice play park for our daughter. It was about a half hour walk into Windsor for us with a four year old. Handy to have a small Waitrose and a Tesco so close. The road the house is on is a narrow lane that is not a through road and so parking (with a larger vehicle) to unload was not feasible, especially given that there were people trying to drive up and down the road. I would recommend unloading elsewhere for ease. There is parking on the surrounding streets and we felt the car was safe.

This was a unique inverted cottage with the living and dining on the top floor to maximize the beautiful view. The kitchen and bath were modern and excellent. The kitchen had all we needed to cook our breakfasts and dinners. We enjoyed the outside dining spot too. Both days we just walked out the front door and on to our 14 mile hikes, without having to use the car. Tishy provided us with some lovely cheese, wine and crackers. I would recommend her place.

What a stunning location for pure peace and quiet. The retreat is an oasis! The place itself was incredible and the hosts were both responsive and helpful. This is the second time I have stayed in one of Mike & Adina’s places and I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone. The property itself has been finished to a high standard and was so clean. The BBQ and hot tub were both easy to use. I absolutely loved it, thank you!!!!

Ally & Simon are incredibly great & helpful hosts. Their accommodation is absolutely spot on, clean & modern. Beautiful garden and the whole house. Definitely recommend staying there, very close to the town centre, great location. Parking spot in front of the house. We will be definitely coming back. Thank you for having us & the support on marathon. Definitely people that they care about their guests & their place.

We had the most wonderful time at Danessa’s beautiful cottage. The place is very well equipped and super comfortable. The surroundings are gorgeous and all you hear and see is exquisite wild life. I would very happily stay there again and have no hesitation to recommend it.

A lovely cottage that was clean and well equipped. Plenty of room for 7 of us and great to have 3 shower/bathrooms and 2 dining areas, so there was room to spread out. The garden was an extra bonus for the children. Great Rissington is a really charming village and within half an hours drive of lots of attractions for both adults and children. Good to have The Lamb pub just down the road. Would recommend.
