Great beach for a swim/ snorkel in the lagoon; or fossick for shells in the rock pools. Great surf at the Northern end when conditions are right. Nice place to start the walk along the coast to the lighthouse via the beach. (good fitness needed for this .....BUT so pretty) Walk starts at the southern end near facilities. BBQ and picnic facilities make this an awesome picnic spot. High tide is the best snorkelling

Great day trip. An easy 30 minute drive from the house. Take your cossies for a swim and a picnic to enjoy under the shady trees. There is a gorgeous walk called "point perpendicular" near here which i highly recommend. ( moderate fitness , undulating)

Excellent value. Whale watching is AWESOME in the JUNE holidays and SEPTEMBER holidays. Fish and chip sunset cruises are fun for all too.

A great drive ( although can get a bit bumpy in a small car). The beach has great waves and the scenery is spectacular . From hear there is a coastal drive to crowdy head , and a magnificent loop walk from just before the campground.

A great drive through Comboyne and Byabarra ( nice restaurant for lunch). The walk is steep but very rewarding; and plenty of amazing birds life.

Drive to settlement point and get the ferry across to drive via Point Plomer and amazing national parks (if you have a 4wd) ; or drive via Maria River road (which is now sealed).

This walk is out the front of our property. I would head to Harrys lookout and down the stairs to your right. The walk to the lighthouse is then at the southern end of the beach. Great to beachcomb or a Strenuous walk through the national park.

I have placed our favourite places in this section
One of our favorites . Open from 7am and awesome for a sunrise walk and then breakfast. A nice walk from the house: which means a great reason to jump in the pool on your return. Port Surf school is awesome too. Book in some morning lessons with them.

Secret spot on the canals which is worthwhile for breakfast our my preference which is lunch.. This is one of our favs for a lazy lunch. (booking for lunch are essential) Maybe tie this in with boat hire at Jordans next door..
