Bartholdi Fountain

This is hands down one of my favorite places in the city and really close to the Capitol building, and the U.S. Botanical Gardens. There are a few tables around the fountain to sit and read or bring a snack. Get off of the orange line metro at Federal Center SW to enjoy this gem.
Located across the street from the botanical gardens is the Bartholdi Fountain. This was a Centennial gift that was originally in Philadelphia. The creator Frederic Auguste Bartholdi has a piece that he did a little later that he is more famous for… the Statue of Liberty.
