Hi there! I'm Helen, and I've been a textile designer working in my studio at the Chocolate Factory N16 for over 30 years. It's a charming mix of Victorian & modern styles and home to a thriving community of artists in Hackney. I have a Masters degree from the Royal College of Art and my designs have featured in London stores and throughout the UK. I love opening my colourful studio to others, sharing the joy of screen printing, and having a great time together. Come explore creativity with me!

What to bring

For adults, please bring your own t-shirt or other items of clothing to print on to. They must be white or light coloured and made from cotton. I provide tote bags to print on to and children's t-shirt sizes., Condsider wearing clothes you don't mind ink landing on, just in case! I do provide aprons., You are welcome to bring any visuals with you to inspire your paper cutting. Explore Matisse style cut outs, black and white vector art, simple silhouettes and basic shapes. Avoid fine lines and photographs. Don't worry if you come without anything as I have plenty to inspire you at the studio.
